Anastasia

By the time I woke up, I couldn't remember much of the fight. Only a huge blast of air before passing out. I had a terrible headache, my hip was also hurting again. Maybe I had gotten up a bit too soon, now the pain felt even worse than the first time. Erwin was there, along with many soldiers of the survey corps and the military police.

Hanji was explaining something to them as I tried to lift myself to my feet. I didn't know what it was yet but- "I'll help.", I said, barely standing in my own two feet. The pain frok my hip was killing me but I couldn't just sit around and do nothing. "Ana you-... you look like you'll fall over any second. Moblit, get a doctor for her." The man nodded and left.

Erwin was currently coordinating the soldiers into groups to make a plan. "Ana, please sit down.", Hanji pleaded, the worry in her voice made me follow the order. "What is hurting you?" "I'm fìne.", I replied. But Hanji gave me that look which left no room for debate. "My hip again." She sighed. "It wasn't fully healed, I shouldn't have let you come along on this mission. You really have enough recover now. Not just a week this time."

"If I'll be in bed after this anyway, why won't you let me help one last time?" The woman across from me raised an eyebrow and scoffed. "Not a chance.", she replied. "The 3dmg puts a lot of pressure on your hips and waist, it will just cause worse issues, I really don't wanna put you in a wheelchair over some retrieving mission." "Retrieving mission?", I asked.

She looked at me in utter disbelief. "You don't even know what this mission is about? Not a chance I'll let you go." The doctor arrived. "Please check for things that need immediate attention, if you don't find anything, bring her back to Ehrmich, inform Captain Levi, he should still be there. I trust him to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid." "Hanji, you are insufferable.", I said, but there was no real bite to my words.

"I'm looking out for you. First thing I'll do when I arrive in Ehrmich, is visit you." The doctor did a quick check up and found that my injuries weren't unserious but not lethal. I was put on a cart along with the doctor, two other injured and four soldiers from the survey corps. We were brought to Trost, since the way from there to Ehrmich was he shortest.

The way was very jolty since we were using the rail tracks and the pain of my hip was getting worse and worse until I passed out from it. By the time in woke, I was on a soft bed, sun was shining through the window. I could hear someone mutter to themselves. When looking around I saw the pastor from the wall church sitting in the corner of the room, but he wasn't muttering so who...

"Ah, you're finally awake. Thought I'd have to stay here even longer now that I'm babysitting two people." It was the captain, sitting at a desk, writing something down, maybe a report. "How long was I out for?" "About 2 hours since you got here. Don't know how long before that.", he replied, not looking up from the document.

He only did when I tried to sit up. "Hey hey, stay down. Doc said you're not allowed to move, so better stay put." "Sounds like a good idea.", I mumbled, as the pain caused me to slide back into the pillow. "Was gonna suggest that too. Always trust the doctors." I could hear him huff, it was mostly out of annoyance but I was sure I heard the slightest bit of amusement.

A nurse arrived in the room short later. She brought food for the three of us and then checked on my injuries. She said we needed to put ice on it and that I should keep the compression on that they gave me, it was a make shift one, like you'd expect in this mediaeval environment. It minimalised my ability to move. The nurse also said, that I should be able to walk again in about a week or two, if I kept the compression on and only took it off for monitored stretching.

She before leaving she turned to the captain. "You make sure she follows these instruction, right?" "Sure.", he replied. As the nurse left the room and I started to eat, the pastor, who had been quiet so far, spoke up. "I would really like to go use the restroom." "Couldn't you have said that when the damn nurse was still here?", Levi grumbled in annoyance. He then sighed an got up from the desk. "Don't do anything stupid 'tilwe get back.", the captain said to me as him and the pastor left the room.

I just nodded and started eating my food, eventho I had just been passed out for about 7 hours, I was exhausted and just fell back asleep.
I had a bad dream about the day, we'd encountered the female titan. The image of Petra squashed against the tree still fresh in my mind.

Suddenly it was dark around me. I could feel the matress I was laying on again, the only light in the room was the little petroleum lamp on the table. Captain Levi looked over at me from his chair. "You okay?" I must've screamed or gasped. "Yes, sorry. Just hoping that Hanji is okay. She also didn't seemin the best state of health.", I replied. It wasn't really a lie since I was indeed worried about her, it was just not what had kept me up. Tho, I didn't feel like he liked me much, so I really didn't want to share my bad dreams with him.
