When reaching the garrison quarters in the center of Orvud, Hanji and I went to the office where Erwin had been before. He was still there with Levi, a map of the tree walls on the table. "Now.", Erwin said as Hanji and I entered. "Levi has already told me that you have a quite plausible idea for the first king's weird choice to not destroy all titans." "Yes I do. Some of my conclusions might seem a little detached to you but I promise it all adds up." The commander raised and eyebrow and looked over at Levi. "You trust her?"

Levi nodded. "Yes, with what I kow about her, all the conclusions make sense, we will get ito that later at some point." "Fine. Talk then." I walked over to the map and pointed at the titan territory. "My idea was, that the titans are there not for the reason of making us go extinct but as a kind of puffer zone between us and someone else. So for short....I believe there is people outside of the wall and I don't think they like us very much."

Erwin seemed interested now. "Keep talking, you have my full attention now." "A king is either loyal to his people or his wealth. No matter which it is, he would want the biggest territory possible. Normally the king's interest should be defeating the titans. The fact that this wasn't his priority means that he needs the titans for something. I can think of two reason, unification and seperation. Unification because the people inside the wall did not really have major conflicts amongst eachother in about a hundred years. a  little like the principle, my enemy's enemy is my friend. A common threat brings people together that would usually be at eachothers throat."

"Makes sense, but where do the people behind the wall come in.", Erwin asked. "In the second reason. Seperation. If there realy is people outsdie of the walls, the titans are in betweento keep us from meeting them. My theory is that there was a huge conflict between us a the people outside so King Fritz shut us away from them." Erwin nodded along slowly. "So you mean to say on our expedition behind the walls we should expect to meet people that won't like us." "Not exactly. Those people are probably also seperated fromte titans like we are, otherwise they would spend alltheir time around our walls."

"So there is another wall, a fourth one.", Erwin asked, he didn't seem convinced by that."Probably not, king Fritz built three wallsto keep the poeple away from those enemies. I don't believe he'd make the effort to keep thoseenemy people safe, by building another wall. The only other thing I can think of is a huge body of water. whcih would mean the titans and we are on an island." I looked between the others, trying to find out if they were believing me. "I'm not saying that we shouldn't go outside the walls ever again but we might start a fight that's even bigger than the titans, so we shouldbe prepared. Like the quote from that one movie. 'A king should never seek war, but always be prepared for it.' damn, I forgot the name of the movie."

Hanji gave me a curious side glance. "What's a movie?" "Long story, I'll explain later. I think it was something from Marvel.",I mumbled to myself. "Alright, looking at all this new information, we willdelay the mission to wall Rose by a few months to prepare for every possible outcome and change of this situation. For now, everyone back to the head quarters until the coronation. It should take place somewhen soon.", the commander explained, sending all of us out.

Weall got to the horses and carts. The rest of the squad was still down in the curt, waiting for the order to leave. "Get all of your stuff on the carts, we're going back to the headquarters.", Levi ordered. It didn't take long until we were all ready to go. Moblit and Jean were driving the cart that Eren, Mikasa, Hanji, Levi and I were in while Connie, Jean, Armin and Historia were riding besides us. It was pretty late when we arrived back at the head quarters.

There wasn't really much on our cart and Eren and Jean carried most of it to the supply rooms since they had gotten into a fight who could carry more, while Mikasa silently walked next to them, holding the rest of the stuff. I was walking with Hanji up to our dorm, Levi walking slightly in fornt of us.he turned when reaching his door. "Good night.", Levi mumbled beforegoing into his room and closing the door behind him before we could answer.

"In all the...6 years I've known that man, he's never said good night to me, that really is suspicious.", Hanji said, grinning over at me. "You really love reading into things, don't you.", I replied, eventho I was feeling kinda proud when she said she hadn't gotten one before. Levi and I hadn't talked about the whole kiss thing yet tho and from the way he was acting I got the feeling that it would stay like this for quite some time.

Hanji actually went to bed when I told her to that night. Due to her injured shoulder I had to help Hanji change into night clothes and brush her teeth and hair properly but we managed to get her ready for bed. "You're the best.", Hanji said as I sat down on my bed. "Well that's what friends are for,  right?", I  replied. "And now sleep for once, yeah? Sleep well." "You too."

Hello everyone, I know this update took quite long but I caught a really bad flue and was basically laying in bed like a corps al day, living off medicine and tea. So, I hope you can forgive me. I'll try to get back to my rhythm of posting everyday, which shouldn't be a problem once I'm healthy again, sicne we all know school is boring and the best thing to do in math class is writing fanfiction.
See ya then once i'm back in school <3
