"What's up?" "Would you... want to be my maid of honor?" Mikasa stared at me for about half a minute. "Are you a sure, I mean, I thought you and Hanji were close." "Hanji is Levi's best woman.", I replied. Mikasa still hadn't moved, still hadn't blinked and I think she was also holding her breath. "Why me?", she then asked. "We always had this quiet way of undertsanding, I think. And I trust you, in battle as well as emotionally so..." Mikasa finally started nodding. "Sure, I would love to. Thanks for asking me.", she said slowly.

Before I could say something, Armin was jogging over. "Oh hey, Ana, what are you doing over here?", he asked, in his cheerful voice. "I'm maid of honor.", Mikasa replied causing a smile to break onto Armin's face. "Really? That's so sweet." He then hugged me. "A wedding might be exactly what we need to lift the spirits in times like these ." "Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.", I replied as he let go of me.

"Do we have a date?", Armin then asked. "Not yet, but we thought, with everything going on, as soon as possible, so nothing get's in between. But I'm sure it'll take some time to set up." "We could ask Historia to be the official.", Mikasa threw in. "Yes and I heard this Niccolo guy from the first ship that arrived here is a great cook.", Armin added. "Hanji is the best woman, you said?", Mikasa asked and I just nodded. "She probably has a lot to do now that she's commander, maybe we as a team could take over the preparations to take some work off her."

I chuckled a bit at their enthusiasm about this. "Well, I suppose you have to ask her about this." "Ask who about what?", Sasha asked as her, Connie and Jean came by. "Ask Hanji if we can help her with the planning the captain and Ana's wedding.", Armin explained adn they al stopped in their tracks. "It's actually happening?", Sasha exclaimed. "I'm gonna find the best food on the island.", she then added, rubbing her hands together like she was plotting an evil plan.

"We also thought Historia might want to be the official there.", Mikasa said and Connie nodded enthusiastically. "We have have to ask her." They all kept talking on our way to dinner. Hanji was already there but I excusedmyself to go get Levi, since he was probably somewhere checking that there wereno further attacks.

And I was right, he was near the port, looking over the water. "You know we have people on patrol for this, right?", I said when approaching him, reaching for his hand. "I feel better seeing it myself." "Well, you should come to dinner. The patrol knows what they're doing." He sighed, looking over the watr one last time before finally turning around and walking to the dining tent with me. By the time we arrived, Hanji was sitting with our squad while they seemed to be veryenthusiastic about organising something.

"The hell are they up to?", Levi asked, standing next to me. "Probably planning our wedding.", I replied and he looked over at me with this confused expression. "Well, I asked Mikasa to be my maid of honor and she told Armin, then Jean, Connie and Sasha came by and somehow this whole thing escalated. I think they've decided to help Hanji with the planning."

As we walked closer, the table got quiet as they al looked at us. "Why so quiet all of a sudden?",Levi asked, narrowing his eyes to this suspicious look he often did. "Nothing.", Hanji replied, grinning. "Just a surprise." Levi didn't seem so satisfied with that answer but we sat down anyway and the team started talking about something else.

That evening, I couldn't sleep, there was something that I had to tell Levi. I just didn't know how. "You're mumbling." I looked over at Levi, who was cleaning his shoes and mine probably as well. "I've been dreaming about something. I thought it wouldn't have any relevance here but thinking back to the fact that I've met people from my former life here... I think you should know."

"Hit me with it, then.", he replied, putting down the shoes because he knew I felt better when people didn't do anything else while talking with me about important stuff. "There's... a kind of code like protocol that's been engraved in my mind.", I started. "In order to prevent any hesitation or disobedience on missions, they made these completely compliant versions of us which can be triggered by a row of numbers."

He got up and walked over to me. "What exactly do these numbers cause that makes you so.... compliant?", he asked, sitting down on the bed next to me. "It's like switch being flicked, all emotions and thoughts are off, just like that. I do whatever the person who said these numbers tells me to do.... there's no not doing it, no questioning. I think in this stare I'd kill the team or Hanji or even you without hesitation. It's really bad." I scribbled the numbers down for him. "If you hear someone say that around me, you have to shut them up before the last digit us being said."

Levi took the little note and put it securely in the chest pocket of his jacket. "So what if... what if I'm too late. How do we get you out of this state?" "Well you coukd knock me out but I don't think anyone except you could do that so easily or you trigger something very emotional. It's not guaranteed to be effective but being reminded of us might help or you do what tried to do to Reiner. Remind me of the terrible type of person I am for all the things I've done." "I'd much rather eemind your of me." I chuckled at his reply. "I'm sure that would wake me up."
