Anastasia
We were at the port some weeks later with Yelena and Onyankopon. The blonde woman listened to our plan once again before stepping in. "But you know this won't work, right? They have blood tests. And when they find out she's eldian, they'll just send her in a trench as canon fodder or worse, acknowledge her skills and make her inherit a titan." "I'm not Eldian tho.", I replied and she gave me this weird look. "All of you guys are eldian.", she protested. "I'm not. I wasn't born here, I don't have parents from here, I don't have a single eldian chromosome in my DNA.", I explained.
"How the hell did you get here then?" "That's a really long story, the point is, whatever they do, Marley can't trace Ana back to us. Which is one if the many reason we chose her for this.", Hanji chimed in, finally shutting Yelena up, who accepted what my best friend said and brought us onto the ship. "You know, you should probably start telling us important things like that. You got the perfect spy here and we didn't even know.", Yelena said bringing Hanji, Levi and me to a strategising room.
"Alright, so how do you plan on getting in there?" "Gonna fake some documents and disguise myself as a strategist. Special opps or something. Whatever exists there." Yelena got out a map of their world, putting it on the table. I suddenly realised, this eas our map, just upside down. "We were in Madagascar all this time?! I thought this was Germany or something.", I just.bled to myself. The others gave me a weird look but didn't say anything.
"So where are you from?", Yelena asked and I tapped their St. Petersburg should be on this map. "Marley?" "No that's Russia." "No that is currently more or less Marley." I sighed, seems like they had a pretty different history from us. "Well, they have some special training units up there, we could pass you as one of their agents.", Yelena explained. "Sounds great, if you have any access to official documents that I coukd fake into looking like they're mine, that would be great."
She nodded. "I'm sure Onyankopon and I can arrange something. By the way, the journey will take about 6 days so you guys have a lot of time for last second training or lessons." Hanji nodded at the suggestion from Yelena before announcing the end of this conversation so we'd all leave. "Russia, huh?", Hanji asked as everyone left and I was the last one standing in the doorway. "Mhm.", I replied, looking over my shoulder at where she'd sat down on a chair.
"Back where I'm from we got the same map. Just with different countries, but the shapes of the continents are the same." She nodded as I walked over. "Being commander is exhausting.", she mumbled with a heavy sign. "I'd tell you to take a break but, you know." "Yeah, way too much going on, people count on me." "But you're doing great." She gave a short smile but it seemed forced. "Erwin just-" I didn't even let her finish. "Erwin didn't have to find a way to keep us from being wiped out because the whole world hates us apparently without using some kind of rumbling to wipe out everyone else.", I replied.
"Like, all respect to that man but I think you can't compare this." I hugged her tightly and she actually fabricated a decent smile this time. "You really are doing this emotional support thing, huh?" I nodded. "Definitely." She chuckled weakly. "Thanks, Ana. Really." "Oh come on, we both know you'd do the same." "Of course I do." I pulled her to her feet and went over to the railing where Levi was standing.
"What were you two talking about?", he asked, pulling me over to stand next to him. "Just some situation stuff.", I replied and he nodded slowly. "Glad I got you two.", Levi then said. "Seriously." Of course Hanji immediatly found her satisfaction in this, already knowing she'd bring it up time and time again. "Don't make me regret saying this.", Levi then added when seeing her smirk. "Of course not.", she replied, hand over her heart in a playful manner.
When reaching the Marley port after six days, just like Yelena had estimated, everyone was super excited. Hanji couldn't stop beaming and jumping up and down like a little child. Onyankopon, Yelena and even I had told everyone time on time again to try and not draw attention. That it might be overwhelming to see so much stuff yiu don't have on the island but that you shouldn't act too surprised. And who would've thought, it didn't work. "You think we can pass them off as some kinda amish or indigenous people?", I asked Yelena who seemed pretty disappointed with my friends' lack of ability to fit in.
She sighed before getting off the boat after all the others. "Yeah, I guess we can try that." She looked over all of us, her face relaxed a bit when seeing Mikasa, Eren, Jean and Levi. "At least a few of you listened to me." "Why don't we just say they broke out of a psychiatric ward? I don't think anyone would question that if we said it about those four-eyes.", Levi replied looking between me and Yelena and sometimes gla cing over towards Hanji when she'd found something again to admire. "I'll watch her for the trip. Make sure she stays low profile.... medium profile."
