"Alright, does everyone undestand the plan?", Armin asked and we nodded. I couldn't do much to help because Floch knows I should be back in Shiganshina. If everything goes according to the plan, I only show up in the last second together with Onyankopon, Yelena and Levi to get on the plane. If something were to go wrong, which was pretty likely in my opinion, my job would simply be to take out as many Yeagerists as possible. If possible in case of a fight, Floch would be my main target. I never liked killing but this was personal. He'd started it and I would end it.
I was standing next to Hanji looking over to where Yelena, Onyankopon, and most importantly Levi were, hoping they'd really be out of reach for every possible scenario of something going wrong. Suddenly we heard several shots. The plan had failed and for just a second I caught myself feeling satisfied about this. I wouldn't dare to ever say it out loud but in this one single second, I was glad that everything went south because it gave me the oppotunity to kill Floch.
I pulled Mikasa over for just a moment before we took off. "You take my planned position in the main room with Kiyomi and Floch. I shouldn't be there 'cause I might prioritise Floch's death over the success of the mission." Mikasa nodded immeditaly before flying towards the room where she was supposed to be. I'd take over her position now which would've been getting the soldiers off the roofs.
Since I had trained some of them, they were quite intimdated, which would get me just the moment of hesitation I needed from them to be able shoot them. Unfortunately, they had listened to my lessons, not to stand in lines which would make it harder to shoot several of them at a time, not just watching for the obvious threats. But I didn't have enough time to teach them the most important thing. Once the trigger is pulled, the bullet hits you, no matter how fast you shoot back. Killing a person sometimes takes longer than making them unable to fight, sometimes.
By the time Floch flew out of the window and yelled about us being traitors and that we should be killed at sight, I was already behind one of the bigger troops on one of the roofs, they didn't see me fast enough. The first 8 shots were precise, immediatly taking their targets out. After that, the others had tunred around to me. As guessed, they hesitated, which gave me time to pull myself past them with my 3dmg and shoot the remaining 6 soldiers, who were falling off the roof just seconds later.
Hanji flew past me just as I was on my way to the next troop. "Change of plans, were taking the ship to another haven on the continent and get the plane ready over there. We need to get the engineers safely to the ship." "Green light to kill Floch?", I asked, putting a new magazine in. "Everyone." I flew back out, seeing Reiner and Annie fighting against a bunch of Yeagerists. Along with General Magath, I was able to take out quite a lot of them before getting distracted by Flochs voice. He was talking abot a new train arriving soon.
From where I stood I could see them, I could see Floch. He hadn't seen me yet, I would be able to- "Kill the titans! They're almost down!" Almost down? I turned to see Reiner and Annie's titans both on their knees. "Shit.", I mumbled before changing course over to the two of them. Both their necks already ripped open, I flew past them, pulling Annie out first. Connie arrived as well, shooting at the Yeagerists who were attacking us, which gave me enough time to fly back and get Reiner, safely bringing both of them to the ship.
The whole thing was getting more and more chaotic by the second now that little Falco had also transformed into a titan. I had one bullet left, which I used to get one of the Yeagerists, who was aiming towards Mikasa off her back, after that I had only my swords left. And there he was again, Floch. Pushing past Hanji, Jean and Pieck as he flew towards the ship with his last thunderspeer. For just a second, I didn't think, I didn't have to. If he hit this shot, everything would be over, just like that.
I changed direction with my 3dmg, shooting towards him. Floch noticed me just late enough to turn a bit. He gasped for air as I landed against his chest with my feet, but didn't have time to react and before he could do anything about it, my sword had seperated his head from his neck. The thunderspeer was just seconds from exploding as Floch fell down into the water, so I pushed myself back off his chest.
This didn't get me far enough from the explosion tho, I was thrown towards the roofs as I tried to find something or someone to stop me without killing me. "Mikasa!", I yelled out. "Remember what Hanji and I did in the crystal cave?" She took one look at me and understood what I was talking about. She flew towards me and caught one of my arms. I reached for a new blade with the other one as she used my speed and redirected it to send me flying towards a group of Yaegerists who I definitely hadn't trained because they stood in one perfect row.
Mikasa was able to send me flying just the right line to kill them all in one motion. She also came after me in an instant to get some more people out of the air. I barely heard the start of the ship from the ringing that Floch's explosion had left in my ears, but Hanji came to pull us towars the boat. It seemed like everyone else was already there as we arrived so we were able to start. Magath stayed behind tho, saying he wated to make sure the Yeagerists wouldn' get the Marley battleship that was still in the haven.
