Abot 8 months later the harbor was finally done, we'd had a meeting with our only ally in this war. They'd promised to try and find more countries that were willing to whej Hiromi sentt us stand by our side. The plan was simple, use the rumbling as leverage to keep the others countries from attacking us. It kinda seemed like a bad idea but they said it was our only hope and eventho I would love to negotiate, it didn't seem like anyone else wanted that except us.

As Hiromi wrote to inform us that she hasn't found anyone willing to listen to her, Hanji decided we had to pay Marley a visit. I wasn't really sure what her plan was but I suppose it had something to do with infiltration. "We'll need someone in the military." Hanji and Armin looked over at me from where I was laying on the couch, writing down notes. "A country that's been at war so long is probably quite militaristic. The military is probably quite close to the government."

When looking up at them, I noticed the looks I got weren't confusion but something else. "Seems like we already know who will do that. Huh?", I said, sighing and Hanji nodded slowly. "Sorry, we have to ask that of you.", she then said, and I got up. "No worries, gotta protect my family, don't I?" I chuckled a bit while walking over to Hanji and Armin. "I just have one condition... you send Levi back after two months maximum. Someone has to take care of Maggie, and I don't wanna leave her alone with some stranger for too long."

Hanji nodded at my request. "I'm sure we can arrange that. We will need some of us in other regions or back here anyway in case something happens that we weren't ready for.", she then said. "Good, then I'll agree. Wherever you need me." I was outside with the others that afternoon, holding an apple in my hand while Sasha held her rifle. "Ready?", I asked, and she nodded.

I lifted my arm and then threw the apple as far, high, and fast as I could. Sasha aimed, pulled the trigger and perfectly hit the apple, causing it to explode. "You did it!", Connie exclaimed while Sasha jumped up in joy before hugging me. "Thats so cool.", she said happily. "Yeah, you did it, Im proud of you. Just concentrate and remember, it won't he as cool when this apple is a person. But you got this. Now your turn, Connie." The short haired boy shook his head. "My aim is not that good, also we can't waste any more apples. I'll be fine if we do this tomorrow." I raised an eyebrow but then caved and nodded. "Fine, off to dinner with you, then."

Hanji called all of us together that evening to discuss the plan. We all sat in her office as she put her hands on the table and started explaining. "We aren't getting any help from the outside world, so I've decided that it's time we pay the Marleyans a visit." She looked between all of us. Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Sasha, Levi and me. "We will go to Marley and try to find out as many things as possible. For this, Ana will be infiltrating the military and get in touch with their executives to get as close to the rgovernment as possible."

Levi looked over at me, seemingly guessing that me and Hanji had already discussed this, but he tried nonetheless. "That's dangerous. Can't we send someone else?", he protested and Hanji shook her head. "No. Ana has the best qualifications in terms of knowledge, skills and experience. Sending anyone else is out of the question." Levi seemed to be about to reply something but Hanji interrupted him. "I am not sure yet how long this mission will last for each of you, it highly depends on the informations we can get. But what I can say yet is that only two of you will stay as civilian an the only person who does not qualify for this longer stay is Levi."

"What, why me?", he asked, lookig between Hanji and me. Hanji looked at me too beofre asking. "That was your decision, do you wanna elaborate." "Someone has to stay with Maggie, I don't wanther to be alone again." Levi opened his mouth to say something but then closed it before anything came out. "Fine, sounds reasonable. But if something happens to you over there, I swear to god-" "Then you better take good care of Maggie." He sighed at my reply. "Are there any more questions regarding the mission?", Hanji asked and they all shook their heads. "Off to bed with you then. We will confirm with Yelena and Onyankopon tomorrow and then tell you when we will be leaving."

The others all left until it was only Hanji, Levi and I left in the room. "I still don't like this. You sure you'll come back in one piece?", he asked, reaching for my hand and holding it tight. "Of course, I've done this like two-hundred times. I know how it goes, when it gets dangerous, how I leave if it gets dangerous." "Good, cuz not coming back is not an option, I will drag your ass back here myself if I have to." I nodded and hhe let out another sigh, before pulling me over to hug me. "Why does it have to be my wife? Can't we send someone insufferable like this redhead. What was his name? Floch?" I chuckled.

"Because your wife is the best at it. Nothing will happen to me, I promise. Pinky promise." He let go of me and gave me this weird look. "What's a pinky promise?" "The biggest vow one can make. You vow it by linky your pinky finger with the one of your opponent and the one who breaks the vow has to swallow a thousand needles.", I explained. "Oh this sounds good. I wanna join.", Hanji said, getting up and walking over to us, Levi rolled his eyes but eventually agreed. "None of us is allowed to die sooner than naturally."
