After I died

Eventho we had control over the cart now, it wasn't for long. Five more people showed up, three of them were aming at the cart, I was only able to kill one of them, luckily Sasha and Connie were able to pull Armin and Jean in time. I managed to take out the two other two, but the cart was gone, with it Eren and Historia.

Levi had to practically drag Mikasa off the street until she let go of the thought to immediatly rush after Eren. We got back to the house where Mikasa had tied up the men who were responsible for kidnapping Jean and Armin. We looked around the boxes in the hall, finding some cloths and a bandage that Levi wrapped around the injury on my arm. I had just finsihed wiping the last stain of blood from his forehead when Mikasa arrived back in the hall, dragging the guy from the cart with her. It had gotten dark and we were sitting around a little fire on the wooden boxes from the hall. My head was running back and forth about the events from today. "I'll get some fresh air.", I mubled, after staring off into space for some time. "Don't let anyone see you.", Levi just replied and I nodded. "Sure."

Outside, I swung myself up onto the roof, just to sit for a bit and take a few deep breaths. I killed four people today and this fight wasn't over yet so it would probably just keep getting more. After getting here and finally being free, I'd sworn myself to never kill a human again, but here I was, I didn't even consider not killing the man as he threatened Levi. In that second, my first and only taught was to jump in, not considering the consequences for the man or me. I hadn't even realised how attached I'd grown to Levi until to die when I thought, even for just a second, that he'd die.

I could hear the others talking down, eventho I didn't understand muhc, I could make out Armin who was still hunted by the woman he killed today. You never forget your first, I was barely 6 back then, the target was a woman who used to work for the anchor... I'd tricked her, made her takeme in by acting I was a street kid and put a timed grenade in her pillow- "Ana."

I got down from the roof to see Levi standing there. "Yes?" "We want some information from that guy.", he explained. "We don't actually wanna hurt him, I'm pretty sure he'll talk from only the threat."  "Sure, I'm in." I followed him inside. The indeed started talking when he saw me with some forceps in hand, that I found in one of the boxes. He agreed to tell the military police that we let him go so we could follow them to whoever had more information. The plan went great and brought us directly to a secret base from the military police, where we found two men, that we brought into the basement for interrogation.  

I stood by the door to the room where one of the men was, Levi had found an apron, gloves and a bunch of supplies that the military police had for their form of interrogation. "You gonna help?", Levi asked. "Is it necessary?", I replied. "You don't have to. Hanji is gonna arrive soon, she'll take over then." "If so then, I'd rather not do that again. But if you need..... a 'professional', I'll help." He nodded, looking over all the stuff. "Then please watch the others upstairs so no one wanders off. Just.... what are these for?"

I walked over to he table, looking at all the things they had stored here. It was all old school versions of the things we'd used...sometimes even on eachother. A memory resurfaced, one I had pushed it down until now.  I'd been in one of these chairs once, that was forever ago but the room suddenly felt way smaller. I tried to swallowed the feeling, just getting the explanation over with as quicky as possible. "That's for teeth.",I mumbled, pointing at the first device. "This is for nails and this tongue. This of one is for burning marks but we don't have a fireplace here. If you want him to talk, you'll need this, this and that."

I went over the supplies quickly to get out of this room again. After finally being up the stairs, I waited outside of the house, it took about half an hour for Hanji to arrive. She hugged me tight. "Hey, how are you?" "Okay, caught a stroke shot but other than that I'm good.", I replied as she let go of me. "Why are you out here?" "Just wanted to wait for you.", I lied as if I hadn't been fighting to not hyperventilate for the past half an hour. "Come on then." We walked through the room over to the door that lead to the basement. "Gotta get this man talking.", she said. I stood at the top of the stairs as Hanji was already walking down.

"You coming?",she asked. "Hey four eyes, let her be. And get over here.", Levi called out. Hanji seemed confused as to why I wasn't joining them but she didn'task further and just let me close the door. "You better get this man talking, four eyes." I could hear Levi trying to speak quietly but I'd heard it anyway. "Don't wanna have to ask Ana for help." I sat down at the desk with the others. The screaming stopped and Hanji and Levi came up some time later, saying the guy had finally talked. The two had tricked him into speaking.
