A/N: I did a quick skim through my version of season 1 and realised that compared to the other chapters I've written, it's quite poorly written. My OC basically becomes Darius throughout most of it and it doesn't tease the eventual plot twist well enough. So, Surprise, I'll be re-writing the first season.

Also, have you seen that new JW: Dominion preview! It's available on YouTube if you haven't seen it yet, I'm so excited for the movie.

I was beginning to get seriously worried about Yasmina, she was more closed off and distant than ever. What made it worse is that she only seemed to be avoiding me now. Everyone else she acted normal around, but when I was near, she looked away from me and walked away quickly. I had filed down the reasons to two, either I said something wrong and this is her way of saying I've hurt her feelings and I should apologise. Or, she regretted telling me about the fact that she felt guilty when I nearly died back at the monorail. Maybe she thought that because she had voiced her feelings and thoughts, I would use that against her or something.

As if.

If she didn't trust me anymore, did that mean we weren't friends anymore? Yasmina didn't tend to like anyone she didn't fully trust, so what does that mean for me?

All this was going through my head as we walked to a place that Yasmina had found when she had gone exploring alone, without telling anyone where she was going. She came back and told us she had found something that she needed Brooklynn's key card for.

So now she was taking us towards the place she had found. As I was distracted, I didn't see the log coming at my feet, I tripped on the log and nearly charged straight into Brooklynn by accident, but I was able to right myself just in time.

"You okay, Max?" The girl asked. "You've been out of it all day, what's wrong?"

"Huh, n-nothing," I said, cursing at how unconvincing I sounded.

"Well, you're obviously not. Come on, tell me," she said. "Now that I know there's possible juicy secrets I need to know, I'll never stop until I get it".

I chuckled lightly at that, then trailed behind the group, Brooklynn did the same as she eagerly waited for me to spill the beans. "I'm just worried I've lost my friendship with Yaz," I said to her. "She's been avoiding me for quite a few days now and I'm worried I've done something wrong. Do you think I should apologize for something?"

"No, I don't think you two aren't friends anymore," Brooklynn said. "Other than Sammy, you're her best friend. Do you know why she might be avoiding you?"

"Well...no," I said.

"Could you give some more details?" Brooklynn asked.

"I... I'm sorry Brooklynn, but I don't think I can say anything more," I said with a glance at Yasmina who was walking near the front of the group.

"But I can't help if you don't tell me," she replied, really pushing me to tell what was going on.

"Nevermind Brooklynn," I said. "Whatever Yaz has got going on, I'll let her figure it out, when the time comes, I'll be ready to talk to her".

Brooklynn groaned in annoyance, but something was different, it felt faked. She walked forward and left me alone.

We cleared the bushes away and the building stood before us. It looked a lot like the garage we had raided for vehicles at least two months ago but much larger in scale. We walked towards it, scouting the area for any dinosaurs that might be near us.

There was a card scanner on the door, Brooklynn took out her key card and scanned it against the door. The light turned green and the pushed the sliding door opened, letting light flood in. We walked inside and gasped at what we saw. At the end of the garage, was a large blue helicopter, bearing the Jurassic World symbol on its tail.
