Yasmina opened her eyes, staring at what was ahead of her. Doing her best to calm her breathing, she raised her hand and held it out, approaching the giant obstacle in front of her. As her hand got closer, her mind flashed with the sounds of snarls. Her hand recoiling, shutting her eyes to block out the noise, but they kept coming.

She heard snarls, roars, growls and groans. She raised her hand out further, she had to do this, or else she'd never recover. She saw teeth, claws, tapping toes, bright yellow eyes with black slits.

The sound of Max calling her name, running towards her and charging her out of the way as a gunshot rang out, the side of his torso exploding with blood less then a second later as he limply fell on top of her.

Then her hand touched the warm scales of the docile Stegosaurus, and the images faded away into oblivion. Her eyes opened and she stared in shock at what she had accomplished. She looked to the Dinosaurs head, who lowed at her as if in greeting.

"That was amazing".

Yasmina looked over to Brooklynn as she walked over to her from the fence. The two of them were outside, surrounded by a large fence with a building off to the side. A domesticated Stegosaurus stood right in front of her, not making any movements as Brooklynn walked rihght next to it. "Thanks, I wouldn't go that far, but its a process," Yasmina replied, patting the Stegosaurus  with a weak smile.

Brooklynn bent down and grabbed the Stegoasaurus' head. "Yaz is being too hard on herself, isn't she?" She said in a baby like voice. "Yes, she is".

"Didn't we agree?" Yasmina asked pointedly.

"Yeah, no more baby talk, my bad," Brooklynn said, getting up and walking over to her.

"I thought I was done with Dinosaurs when we got off the island, but then they go ahead and follow me back here," Yasmina sighed, looking at the Dinosaurs scales, and her hand still resting on it. "I was doing fine, before. Why is it so hard again?"

"I know, right? I don't think any of us expected this to be our lives. It's hard to adapt when the world is so different than you thought it'd be," Brooklynn said, aimlessly patting the side of the Stegosaurus as well.

"I never heard of Dino Immersion Therapy, but I am clearly their target demographic," Yasmina said, patting the Stegosaurus a little hard with her hand, causing it to groan in irritation. Yasmina's hand sprang off it like she had just touched hot metal.

"Yeah, Ben told me about it from this website he found," Brooklynn said, now rubbing both her hands on the Stegosaurus, smiling as the animal made no move to stop her. "Hey, not that I don't love hanging out with you, but any particular reason I'm here and not Max".

Yasmina's eyes widened as she looked down, her face turning to one of dread. "You know how Max travels a lot now, trying to mitigate the amount of Dinosaur attacks and the amount of injuries?" Yasmina said, asking the obvious.

"Of course," Brooklynn said, wondering where this was going.

"So, as you know, he comes to see us every few weeks. He visited me about a month and a half ago, then a few days later, he went on his way again. He told me when he'd be back...," Yasmina drifted off, swallowing as she tried to calm her nerves. "He told me he'd be back by the twenty seventh last month".

"Twenty seventh? But that was almost two weeks ago," Brooklynn said.

Yasmina nodded with her eyes closed. "I tried calling him but he didn't answer, I know sometimes he can't pick up because he's doing average Max hero stuff, stopping a Dinosaur from hurting someone, or getting a lost herd out of town, but he always calls me back afterwards and apologises, despite it being out of his control," she laughed as she finished her sentence. "Honestly, he's too selfless for his own good".
