Ben could only watch as Kenji's head was bowed, his eyes glued to the floor. His shoulders were shaking and his breathing was heavy, as if he was just one push away from exploding. "Kenji...," Ben began, trying to find the words that would even begin to explain what was going on.
Before any words could be said, Kenji turned and left the room. Ben sighed in shame, looking at the floor for a moment. He knew he had messed up and there would be far more to be said before this was even close to being over. "Later," Ben said, turning to the door.
The door slammed open and Kenji stormed in, grabbing Ben by his collar and shoving him against the glass window. "You knew Brooklynn was alive and you didn't tell us!?" He roared. "How long have you known?"
"I...," Ben stammered.
"How long have you been lying!?" Kenji screamed.
"It's not what you think," Ben said quietly.
Kenji's tear streaked face didn't falter. He shouted at the top of his lungs and threw his fist forward. Ben shut his eyes and braced for the pain, but nothing came. He opened his eyes again and found Kenji's fist against the glass, which was cracked in the shape of a spiderweb. Kenji stepped back from Ben as he stumbled against the table, his breathing slowly returning to normal. "How could she do this to us?" He cried. "How could you help her do this?"
"I'm sorry, I... I didn't know what to... She asked me not to say anything, and I tried to tell you all, but...," Ben knew the words sounded pathetic even as he said them, but he felt he had to at least try to explain himself. "I didn't want you to get... hurt," he finished the sentence hesitantly as he tilted his head away from Kenji, worried another outburst was coming.
Kenji turned away and leant on the table, shaking his head, looking completely lost. Then his head lifted and he faced the wall. "The eggs," he said, suddenly focused again. "Brooklynn took Bumpy's egg". Without waiting for Ben to respond, Kenji bolted out of the room and the sound of his running footsteps gradually faded away.
Ben took one final look at the cracked glass behind him before reluctantly following after him.

Max fiddled with the control panel, pressing a few random buttons until he found the one that opened the container doors. They opened with a creak and loud buzz and Yasmina, Sammy and Zayna stepped out.
Their expressions matched Darius' face as they stared down the hallway, the last place they had seen Brooklynn. "Was that...?" Sammy began.
"It was her," Yasmina confirmed.
"No, that wasn't her," Darius said, more to himself than the group. "Someone who likes like her, maybe. But she would have told us, I mean, that she was alive, right?"
"That woman in white," Max said, walking over to them. "That was the Broker, I'm certain. She's the one behind all of this, chasing after us with Raptors, everything".
"Don't we have to stop her?" Zayna asked pointedly. "Stop her from hurting people and get to your friend?"
"You have been spending way too much time with us," Sammy chuckled.
"First, we have to finish what we came here to do," Darius nodded. "So let's find Kenji, Ben, then get you, Geba, and the eggs someplace safe. After that, we'll...".
"Do something stupid?" Yasmina offered, a knowing look on her face. "Probably".
"That was something I used to say, wasn't it?" Max asked. "But yes, most likely".
Darius turned to face the hallway and gestured forward to the group. "Let's go". As Darius and Max took the lead, Sammy and Yasmina helped Zayna get Geba out of the container and have the Gallimimus follow after them.
