"I should try and get back home." You said as you looked out of the large window and watched the snow. You looked over your shoulder at Derek who was frowning down at a small heater that he'd ordered.

It had been delivered while you were there, picking up as few books for Scott, he'd decided to immediately try to build the heater. "Ok... if you guys need anything else let me know." He said as he looked over at you. With a quick nod you picked the books up off the table and headed out of his apartment and down to the car park

"Crap." You said gently as you looked out over the car park. Your car was covered in snow. Which wouldn't have been a problem. If it wasn't for the several inches of snow. You weren't even sure that you'd make it to your car. Soft orange light came down from the street lights and made the evening have a mauve aura as you looked out over the road. You watched as someone slowly drove past their wheels span and you could see muddy snow fling around their wheels and spray up into the air. The snow covering everything made the night seem brighter.

Derek looked up as you came back inside and cleared your throat. "I'm sorry. I... I don't think that I can get home. There's a car that someone just parked up and left." You explained. Derek got up and looked out of the window and nodded.

"It came down heavier than I thought. You're welcome to stay as long as you need but urm... the heating has been broken for a while. I was hoping to fix it tomorrow and if Isaac can't get here..." Derek trailed off. He was sure that Isaac could get through the snow if it eased up. He could have gotten out in the snow too. But the snow was blistering down so heavily that he was sure that he wouldn't be able to make it to the end of the street, let alone to your house if he had you in tow.

"I can help! I've helped Stiles get his Jeep going a few times... I can help." You said quickly. Derek smiled and nodded as he finally slotted together the pieces he needed and plugged in the heater.

"This should do, for now. You should take the bed and I'll take the sofa." He offered and looked around before adding. "I've got enough food if we're stuck here for a while. But hopefully you'll be able to get home soon." As he spoke the lights cut out and the sound of the window whistling through the snow grew louder. Looking out of the window you winced and looked back at him.

"At this rate we'll have to ration it out." You said quietly as Derek fumbled around for a torch.
