Christmas had been interpreted by the door being blown in and several people flooding in with weapons. Melissa had grabbed you and pulled you out of the way while Lydia and Stiles hurried to cross the room and join you.

"On Christmas!?" Melissa said, sounding more annoyed that the people had picked Christmas to attack than that the house had been broken into.

"What do they want?" You asked.

"They must have followed Argent when he came back with Isaac." Stiles said as they all ignored you.

"Isaac? Derek's little... friend?" You said quietly. Though the impression you'd been given was that Derek had taken in a homeless boy. When you'd met Isaac he'd seemed rather large and not very boyish. In fact he looked like a fully grown man.
Glancing round the corner you saw Derek. He turned and you flinched back, knowing he had made eye contact. His face had become distorted and definitely didn't look like a man's face. His face didn't look human at all.

You stayed hidden and unmoving until the fighting died down and someone shouted that the building was secure. When you looked back round the corner Derek had his back to you. Melissa helped you to your feet and you took hesitant steps towards Derek. The dinner set up was in ruins, bits of food were crushed into the floorboards and spread across the floor and walls. The table had been tipped onto its side to provide shelter. As you stepped out into the room Derek turned. His face was different, his eyes red. You couldn't begin to digest everything that you'd seen. It had all happened so quickly.

"I don't believe it." You said as you stared at Derek. You couldn't believe anything that was happening.

"Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can't see." Derek said as his face seemed to slide back to normal. He reached out to you hesitantly as Argent tipped the sofa up the rightway. "We can talk about it." Derek suggested. With a nod you took a seat while Melissa found a seat of her own. As the others gathered around to tell you what had led to the incident Peter went to make drinks with what was left of the kitchen.
