Derek groaned as he heaved himself up off the bed. It had been a few days since he was able to stand. Walking across the room alone was a strain. There had been a way to cure the Hybrid bite and Derek was lucky to be a wolf. Anything less he would have died before Scott and Stiles had found him.

It had taken weeks to heal and he was getting more and more impatient about Scott's insistence to wait until they had a way to protect the pack from Klaus. All Derek could see was Klaus pulling you out of his sight. He stared down at the table that was weighed down with all sorts of weapons, some Derek hadn't seen before, others that looked too familiar for his liking.

"Shouldn't you be resting. Or at least wearing more clothes?" Argent asked as he carried another load of weapons into Derek's loft.

"You're the one who arrived unannounced." Derek said as he grabbed his clothes and returned to the table, frowning at a stake that Argent dumped on the table.

"I've heard the right type of stake will kill them." Chris said and Derek scoffed.

"Who told you that, Stiles?" He asked and Argent shrugged. "I suppose we're desperate."

"We're here, Deaton sent us some stuff." Malia said as she carried a huge box through to the table, followed by Stiles who was struggling with a much smaller box.

"We got everything up in one go. That way. We can..." Stiles waved his hand as he caught his breath, gesturing the rest of his sentence rather than finish it.

The pack gathered as the sun started rising. Liam immediately fell asleep at the table but once Scott admitted Liam had done patrolls all night Derek dumped him in his bed, letting Liam rest before they had to go to New Orleans.

You snuck back into the house as the sun started to rise. Having successfully avoided Klaus all day you'd managed to phone Lydia and get an update on the pack. As far as you knew, Klaus had no clue, still believing you were stricken with lovesickness for him.

"You've been gone a long time." Klaus said. You froze on your way up the stairs, glancing around the courtyard until you spotted him up on one of the balconies.

"Just taking the chance to appreciate the city." You lied casually. Watching him frown at you, obviously not believing you. "I have to meet Camille for dinner... around now. I should go." You said dumping your bags on the stairs as you started to leave.

You were suddenly flung to the side, hitting your head as you caught yourself, scrambling to your feet only to be caught by your throat as Klaus closed in.

"You think you can fool me?" Klaus spat as he almost shok you. "You lied to me to spare your pet. But we both know he'll be back to rescue you. Once he's gone i'll have you to myself."

"Fuck you." You choked out as he let you go.

"You're sure this is a good idea?" Chris asked Derek who was setting up in their 'base'. Deaton had given Stiles and Mason a bunch of powders to put them down to hide them from anyone who might attack the pack.

"We just have to get to her and get out. That's all. No fighting if necessary." He said firmly. The rest of the pack agreed while he paced the room opposite the Mikaelson home.

You had informed them the houses would be empty and if Deaton was right no one would notice they were there unless they were careless.

"I don't think this is a good idea. Why do we have to go right into his den. I mean. (Y/N) came down here in the first place." Malia asked, still undecided if she wanted to rescue you or go him.

"We have to, we can't just leave her there." Stiles said as he pointed to the window that was still covered with scaffolding and plastic sheets. Everyone stared at the window, knowing that across the road you were held captive by Klaus.

"Look. You want to go, you want to help I don't care. I can't leave her there and I'm not going to let him keep her. If I die then I die but you don't need to." Derek said and glared at everyone who shared looks.

"Well after a speech like that we'd be dicks if we let you go alone." Liam said, suddenly eager to pipe up.

"We take her from the Quarter at midnight, we have until then to get ready because the spell we have will only throw our scent for a while. We'll only make it if he gives up the chase. Hopefully whatever the witches are playing at will distract him." Lydia said as she stood, crossing her arms as she glanced at the others. "We get her back or I get to scream his face off." She said with a smirk.
