Stiles smiled as he saw Derek relenting. Reluctantly Derek turned to look at you, dressed in a costume. You'd planned a party, every detail but when you'd informed everyone, Derek had made fun of you.

"Fine. I'll apologise." Derek grumbled. Stiles glanced at Scott who was standing awkwardly next to Stiles, waiting for the air to clear and everyone to calm down.

"And take (Y/N) to their party." Stiles added. Derek glared at him and he nodded. He turned to you and headed over to his small blue settee that you were pouting on, with your arms crossed.

"(Y/N)." Derek said as he gently took a seat next to you you tried your best to ignore him. When you looked up he had a silly frown on his face, as if he was trying to look calm and soothing. "You know how I think Halloween is for jerks? Well, this Halloween, I was the jerk. I'm sorry about tonight."

"You don't even want to go to my party!" You huffed at him. He winced and titled his head from side to side before nodding.

"I don't like people." He admitted and you rolled your eyes.

"Even Peter was there." You mumbled and shot him a sharp look. He could see a touch of a nervous smile on your face and realised you were hoping he'd feel bad enough to go. With a long, very drawn out sigh, he leant back into the sofa and let his head fall back to look up at the concrete ceiling.

"Maybe, I could go for a few minutes." Derek said carefully. You smiled and learnt closer.

"For a little while?" You asked sweetly. He looked at you and then at your costume.

"I will go, but not in a costume." He compromised.

"But what if you just showed your wolf face." You asked and mimed clams with crooked fingers. He closed his eyes for a moment and sighed.

"Fine." He said and stood up. He reached out to help you up and the two of you looked over to Scott, who looked rather relieved, and Stiles who had a sort of maniacal almost wicked grin on his face.

"Soooo, we're going back to the party?" Stiles asked quickly.

"Yes." Derek answered as he led the way out of his apartment.
