It's been two hours since Chloe went home and I've been lying in bed for at least an hour just staring at the wall.

I keep thinking about what she said.

Should I tell Dan how I feel? Is it a good idea? Will he even care?!

Being a girl is so complicated. There are just too many emotions involved with this.

A knock on the door interupts my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I ask, knowing exactly who it is anyway.

"Hey" Dan hovers in the doorway.

"Hey" I turn my head to look at the door.

He looks so good. His hair is sticking up all over the place and he's wearing a pair of black boxers and a white Norman Bates t shirt.

"Can I come in for a bit?" he nods in my direction, indicating that he's talking about my bed.

"Of course you can" I pull back the duvet on the other side of the bed for him.

He crawls in beside me and I turn to face him, so that we're basically nose to nose.

I smile. "Can I help you with something? Or did you just get a bit lonely in your own room"

He laughs quietly. I love his laugh.

"Actually" he whispers "I just wanted to do something... just to see..."

"Good sentence that was Daniel, made loads of sense" I smile, even though I know he can't see me in the dark.

I hear him inhale quickly and next thing I know his lips are on mine.

It takes me by surprise and I pull away.

"Shit, I'm sorry" he mutters, "I shouldn't have done that"

He starts to sit up, but I grab his t shirt and pull him back down.

I kiss him back. His lips are soft and he tastes like toothpaste, but with a little hint of cigarette smoke.

I part my lips slightly and allow our tongues to meet. Oh my God is this actually happening.

I pull back again "Dan, what are you doing?"

He pecks me quickly on the tip of my nose.

"I heard you and Chloe shouting at each other earlier..." he begins, but I cut him off "I'm sorry, she's so lou-"

He's kissed me again.

My heart starts to beat faster and I move my hand to the back of his neck and pull him closer to me.

It starts to get a bit heated and eventually he breaks the kiss.

"I just wanted to see if she was winding you up or not, but from what I gather she was telling the truth" I can almost hear the cheeky little smirk as he speaks.

"I was hoping you hadn't heard that" I say quietly.

"Why though?" he sounds intrigued.

"Can we talk about this in the morning please?" I can feel his breath on my cheek. It's very distracting.

"If you really want..." he sounds a little disappointed "But, can I stay in here with you tonight?"

I don't even answer him, I just cuddle closer to him and bury my head in his chest.

This is going to be a potentially awkward conversation tomorrow, but for now I feel nothing but pure bliss.
