"I want you all to get down with me... but not in a kinky way"

Dans voice projects through the whole building. I'm out at the merch desk and I can still hear him!

They're about half way through the set, I only have to be at this desk until the encore and then I can run in and catch the end of the show.

After an hour or so I hear Overjoyed starting so I quickly hand over to Simon, the other guy helping me out.

I make it to the front of the stage just in time for them coming out. I flash my backstage pass at the security guys and hop over the barrier and make my way to the side of the stage.

They play Flaws, then Laura Palmer.

The last song they do is Pompeii.

The crowd are singing along, there are girls crying in the front row.

The whole thing is madness.

As the song draws to a close and everyone keep chanting, Dan throws his drum stick into the crowd and everyone rushes to grab it.

"Thank you Dublin, you've been amazing and we've been Bastille!"

He waves as he walks slowly off the stage along with the rest of the guys.

Kyle is the first one to get off the stage. I fling myself at him and wrap my arms around him, squeezing him tight.

"I'll never get bored of this" he picks me up and spins me round.

"Kyle! Put me down right now!" I hit his shoulder and laugh.

I hear a familiar voice behind me. "Yeah put her down it's my turn"

Kyle lets go of me and I immediately feel Dan wrap his arms around my waist from behind. I spin to face him and look up at him.

He's covered in sweat and his hair is even more all over the place than usual. "This post gig look works really well for you, you know" I giggle.

He rubs his face and hair against my cheek. "Dan! That is disgusting! Get your sweat away from me" I try to struggle away from him but he's stronger than I am. "You're going to ruin my make up" I pout.

Chrissy makes her way over to us, clipboard in hand. "Guys, I'm super sorry to interrupt, but there are fans starting to hang about outside already, do you wanna go out and talk to them?" she says.

"I do!" they all shout together.

"You come too" Dan grabs my hand as we make our way to the back door of the venue.

Kyle, Woody and Will head out first and there's a bit of a commotion going on, but it's nothing compared to when Dan walks out, they're screaming and crying and God, this is overwhelming. I hang back a bit from him, because they all want pictures and I'm sure they don't want me in them.

"DAN! IS THAT YOUR GIRLFRIEND?" one of them basically shouts in his face.

"Uh.." he nods "Yeah it is"

"Oh my God she's soooo pretty"

"Are you going to get married?"

"Do you love her?"

The questions come thick and fast. I grab his hand and stand up on my tiptoes to whisper to him, "I'm going back inside" and disappear quickly through the door.

I make my way back to the dressing room, leaving Chrissy and the security guys to control the crowd. "Ahhh, vodka" I grab a cup and mix myself a drink before sitting on the sofa and putting some music on my phone.

Half an hour later everyone starts to filter back in, Dans the last one.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told them" he sounds so nervous.

"No! I'm fine seriously, I don't mind" I smile and kiss him.

He pulls me into him and I can hear Kyle fake vomiting as normal, but I don't think either of us care anymore.

I pull back just a little and rest my forehead against his. "Seriously, it was just a bit overwhelming"

"You're sure?" I obviously don't sound sure.

"Really! But for real Dan, when are you gonna put a ring on it"

We both laugh quietly and I take a quick glance around the room.

"Uhhhhh you guys, I think we're gonna head back to the bus while you all chill here for a bit, is that cool?"

Kyle rolls his eyes. "Just don't do it in my bunk please"

We get up and Dan pulls me out the door, sticking his tongue out at Kyle as we leave.
