Dans POV

"Emily, please stop"

I run down the hall after.

"Can you listen to me?!"

"Why would I want to listen to you? Are you serious? Like as if it wasn't bad enough that you did that to me after I told you I liked you, now you're ACTUALLY cheating on me? I feel sick"

She turns and storms off again. When I call her, she childishly puts her fingers in her ears so she can't hear me.

Sarah walks up behind me and slips her arm around me. I step forward, away from her and turn to face her.

"If you've ruined this, I swear, you'll regret it" I say through clenched teeth.

"But Danny, we worked so well together, what would you want to choose her over me for? Stop being silly" she tries to take my hand.

"Leave me alone!" I shout and run down the hall, following the path Emily took.

By the time I make it to the exit of the building, she's no where in sight. I have to find her as soon as I can.

After ten minutes of looking around the outside of the venue I decide to make my way home. She's had a good head start on me so I signal for the next taxi that passes to pull over.

I give him the address and ask him to hurry. When I get to the house, I can see Emily's bedroom light is on. Thank god she's here.

I throw the money at the driver and jump out of the taxi. Where is my key? I search frantically in my pockets. Oh fuck this.

"EMILY!" I shout as I knock loudly on the door. I pull everything out of my pockets. My phone hits the ground and the screen shatters, I don't even care. Then I hear a clink and see my key on the ground.

I grab it and fumble as I try to get it in the lock. Finally I get it and turn the key. Music is blaring. Blink-182. She always listens to them to make herself feel better.

I fling her bedroom door open.

She's lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Slowly, I walk over and sit next to her, with my legs crossed.

"I thought I told you not to come home" she doesn't even look at me.

"It's my house too you know, you can't stop me being here"

"Well if you could go to your own room before I resort to violence, I'd appreciate it"

Her voice sounds hoarse from crying and her face is tear stained.

"I swear to God Emily I can explain. It's not what it looked like"

"So you weren't sneakily kissing your ex girlfriend in an empty hallway while I was stupidly sitting with all our friends celebrating how good the night was?" there's venom in her voice.

"No. I wasn't" I run my hand through my hair.

"She kissed me"

"Why?"

"Why do you think? She's jealous"

"Right..." her voice softens slightly, she realises I'm right. "So if that's the case then how did you end up there with her?"

"Okay" I take a deep breath "So I wasn't going to tell you this, in fact the only other people who know are the guys... But there was a guy from Virgin at the gig tonight..."

"Like, the record label?"

I nod. "We sent him some tracks, which he loved and he said before he had any more talks with us, he wanted to see us play live"

"Talks about what? A record deal?!" she sits up "This isn't really explaining anything..." her brows furrow and I know I have to get to the point.

"I got a text from a number I didn't recognise asking me to meet down the hall, I thought it was him Emily, seriously. When I got there the hall was empty, but then Sarah came round the corner"

She's studying my face, to work out if I'm telling the truth.

"She told me she still loved me and that you were a mistake and then next thing I knew she had me pinned against the wall kissing me and then there you were" I can feel myself getting upset.

"I didn't even have a chance to react before you got there Ems, it took me so by surprise"

She opens her mouth but doesn't say anything.

Sarah has really fucked this up.
