Part 1 ; A newborn with the gift of seeing the future, joining the volturi so you can impress Aro with your gift.

You were buzzing with excitement as you were led to the throne room. You knew what was going to happen of course. You were going to meet the three kings, Aro was going to touch your hand, and then you were going to be offered a place on the guard. Of course you were going to say yes.

"Why did you come here anyway? You're a Newborn. You do realize that your lack of experience will get you killed right?" Demetri asked with a raised eyebrow. You shook your head stubbornly. "I'm not here to fight. They'll want me to join. I promise." Your words were sure and confident, hopefully convincing Demetri and Felix that you knew what you were talking about.

The three of you entered the throne room where the three kings were. Your eyes widened in awe as you took Aro's appearance in. When you woke up to this new life, you had a vision of this moment. He was the first face you saw and you were desperate to meet him.

"Felix, Demetri, who do we have here?" Aro spoke, his eyes resting on you. Before either of the guards could speak, you did so. "I am Y/N. I wish to join the guard." If it was quiet before, now it was deathly so. You heard a scoff come from one of the kings. Caius.

"What makes you think a Newborn such as yourself can be of use to us?" He hissed. If you had not anticipated his malicious personality, you might have winced. Luckily you were prepared. "Because I might be a Newborn, but I don't act like one. And I have a gift I know will interest you." You answered calmly.

Aro raised an eyebrow at the word 'gift.' "You do? Well then, may I?" He stood from his throne and walked down to meet you, his hand stretched out. This was the moment you had been waiting for. You nodded and took his hand in yours, allowing him to see every moment of your mortal and immortal life.

"Marvelous... This is even more beneficial than that of Alice." He stared at you with a glee that made your excitement increase. You were practically bouncing with energy. "This Newborn is a seer then?" Caius' voice lost a little of it's angst, but only a little. "Even better, Caius. Y/N can see any decision and the outcome. Alice can only see one decision at the time it has been made. Think of what we could achieve with this gift."

You could see the gears working in the heads of everyone in the room. "Y/N would be most beneficial indeed." Caius relented. Aro clapped his hands together in glee. "Perfect! Let's get you a robe. Welcome to the Volturi, Y/N."

Your face was beaming with happiness. Even if you knew what was going to happen, you were still just as excited. You were now Y/N Volturi. And you would be serving Aro. Life was good.

Part 2 ; the Volturi watching her future mate struggle with his feelings.

You hummed as you combed your hair into a neat style. You had to look presentable for when master Aro sent Jane to-

Knock knock

You dashed to the door and greeted the young girl with a smile. "Good evening, is it not?"

Jane didn't reply, not caring for small talk. "Master Aro wishes to see you." She announced before taking off, trusting you knew not to keep them waiting.

You watched Jane leave with a small smile on your face. You were definitely looking forward to today. Why?

Today was the beginning of a whole new chapter in your life.

When you arrived in the throne room you bowed your head as a sign of respect.

"Masters, how may I help you?" Your smile held a hint of playfulness. Everyone in the castle knew of your gift, so it was practically pointless to ask. Sometimes you would give answers to people days before they asked you a question.

That really pissed some people off.

"You know why you're here." You heard him growl.

You looked to Caius and raised an eyebrow, which in turn made the king clear his throat unnecessarily and look away.

A smile danced on your lips. He was cute when he tried to hide from you.

You sat in the Volturi garden, staring up at the sky and appreciating the heat from the sun. It was nice to go out without humans causing a fuss upon seeing your glimmering skin.

A familiar scent caught your nose and you turned to see Caius standing there, his skin reflecting the sun in millions of little rainbows. He stared at you, not as bashful as he had been in the throne room.

"Hello Master." You greeted with a small smile.

Hearing your voice seemed to snap Caius out of his reverie. He scowled and turned on his heel to leave.

"Master, if I may be so bold?" That paused him in his tracks. He didn't turn back to look at you, but at least he stopped.

"You do know that fighting this is pointless, right?"

The king growled and stormed off.

Men. You sighed.

You had stopped looking into Caius' future, figuring the King was sick of your constant knowing of everything that was going to happen.

It wasn't your fault you had the power to see the future.

So when someone knocked the door, you were pleasantly surprised. You didn't see it coming, which meant Caius probably sent them to you.

You opened the door, ready to address whichever guard had come to collect you.

But it wasn't a guard.

"This is probably the first I've seen surprise on your face." Caius mused with a small smirk. "Are you losing your touch, seer?"

You blinked to make sure your perfect vision wasn't playing tricks on you.

"You... you're actually here."

The king nodded. "May I come in?" He motioned to your room.

He wants to come in? You tilted your head in confusion but moved to the side anyway so he could enter. Maybe now he'll actually talk to me.

When you shut the door you turned to Caius, keeping quiet so the king didn't feel pressured to talk.

"I didn't want to do this," He began, raising a hand to stop you when you opened your mouth to object. "I didn't want to do this. But I can't avoid the subject forever."

You relaxed at this and smiled. "I'm happy to hear that."

Caius nodded. "I propose this. We start spending more time together. You will follow me as I do my duties and we will have conversations. And then we go from there." You opened your mouth to immediately agree, but he held his hand up again.

"One condition. You do not use your gift in regards to me. You can look at anyone else's future, but unless I am in imminent danger, you will not look into my future. Do you understand?"

You nodded quickly. "That's what I've been doing the past couple of days." You admitted in a murmur. "I figured you didn't like it."

He gave you a half of a smile. "I think this is something to look forward to, Y/N. I will depart for now." He closed the distance between the two of you and took your hand, raising it to kiss the back of it. "I will send one of the guards to fetch you when it is time."

"Yes Master." You murmured, your eyes concentrated on where Caius' lips had been.

He leaned forward to whisper something in your ear. You gasped and turned to him, but he had left, the door wide open. You were sure if you were still human your heart would be racing out of your chest.

Call me Caius when we're alone.
