💙READER'S POV 💙

You let out an impatient little hum, practically bouncing on the heels of your bare feet as you stand there, looking out the window. You hear Alec let out a soft laugh from behind you, his arms wrapping around your waist as he hugs you. "What are we doing?" he murmurs, resting his chin on your shoulder. You gaze out the window, your eyes narrowing a little as you focus.

"Waiting for the stupid postman to deliver my stuff." you answer, letting out another little sigh. Alec laughs again, turning his head to press a gentle kiss to the spot just below your right ear. "Sweetface, that's the third time this week. One might say you're stalking him." he teases you. You turn your head a little to stick your tongue out at him, a smirk on your face.

"They wouldn't be wrong. Ugh, the postal service here sucks!" you say. Alec raises an eyebrow at you, trying not to smile. "And now you see why we have our secretaries hand deliver most of our correspondence." he murmurs, reaching out to tuck a loose wisp of hair behind your ear. You nod, rocking back and forth on your heels a little before turning back to face the window again.

Alec's laugh sounds in your ear as he resumes looking outside with you. "Patience, little human. It'll get here when it gets here." he says, a hint of amusement in his voice. You nod, leaning back into his embrace. Alec presses another kiss to the side of your head before glancing out the window, his crimson gaze focused on the little path leading up to the side entrance of the castle. It's where all of the secretaries came and went when they had to deliver letters and other things.

You suddenly let out a little gasping wheeze as you spot the postman walking up towards the castle, and you whirl around to face Alec. "He's here, he's here, he's here!!!" you say, grinning and all but jumping up and down in excitement. Alec nods, reaching out to carefully hold your face between his hands.

"Yes. But you need to stay here. Let me go see what it is, you're not allowed to intercept our mail. I'll have somebody send for you if it's here." he tells you, kissing the tip of your nose. As he pulls away and heads for the door, you give him a slight pout.

"And don't make the face I know you're making, Y/N!" Alec calls out over his shoulder, without even looking at you. Right before the door closes, you stick your tongue out at him, all your nerves on edge. You couldn't possibly wait this long...!

👿ALEC'S POV 👿

I make my way down the hall, passing by Felix in the hallway. He gives me a friendly nod as I walk by, and I stop him before he can continue on his way, lightly tugging at his arm. "Come with me, it's important. I'm going to need you in a minute or two. Y/N's cloak came today, I've kind of been stalking the package tracking from Olianna's laptop when Y/N wasn't around." I tell him.

He smirks at me, his crimson gaze softening. "Does Y/N know that it's here?" he asks, and I nod. "I told her to wait upstairs, and that someone would come get her if it was her stuff. But she doesn't know that it actually is her stuff." I answer. He nods, his smirk getting bigger as we approach the door to the side entrance. "Sneaky. Now you just have to hope that it'll fit her." he teases me. I give him an incredulous look, shaking my head at him.
