Warning: This does touch on some suggestive and triggering themes

-----

As you sat on the living room couch in the Cullen household, beads of rain poured onto the glass pane. You watched as it slid down until it reached the bottom of the glass, sipping your tea.

Although you had the strength and ability to destroy almost anything, it gave you great pleasure to do just the opposite of that-to appreciate the little things. You chuckled at the thought.

Days like these you adored the most, and they came often in Forks. Rain was insignificant in the town, as it happened all the time. When it doesn't, however, people grow concerned. That was the metaphor of how your life went, and with your centuries of existence, was doubt extensive.

The sound of a door opening disturbed your thoughts; The scent of the person's blood identifying the intruder.

"Hey, Bella." You greeted, sipping your tea, not looking at the door.

"Edward isn't here. They all left to go hunting earlier. You can wait here with me if you'd like." You finished.

You had neutral feelings about Bella when you first met her, but when you discovered how much she made your brother Edward happy, you accepted it. After all, she did nothing to you and, unlike Rosalie, hating her was not an option. Hate was all you received growing up, and you'd seen the damage it has done. You'd be damned if you treat Bella how others treated you, as no one deserved that. Truth be told, Bella reminded you of yourself from your human life.

"Thanks, (yn)." She said, sitting across from you in a single chair. Glancing at her, you could sense that something else was bothering her.

"Is something wrong?" You asked, concerned.

"No, nothing's wrong. I kind of didn't come here to see Edward, but mostly came here to talk with you." She admitted, peaking your interest. You sat your mug down and turned to face her.

"Talk to me about what?"

"About you and your story. From an outsiders view, you seem," She hesitated. "different from the rest of the Cullens. You aren't macho like Emmett or overprotective like Edward. Just mellow."

"Honestly, I'm curious about you is what I'm trying to say." Bella looked down at her shoes, nervously.

You took a deep breath, and smiled at her.

"I get what your asking. Edward wasn't lying when he said you were curious about everything. I don't mind telling you." Bella looked up, slightly relieved, anticipating what you were going to say next.

"Although I am content with it now, my life didn't always match my demeanor. I was born in 1845, in Houston, Texas. I had two brothers and a sister. My family wasn't like your typical one because we lived on a plantation. It didn't take me long to realize that-,"

"You were born into slavery." Bella finished, with a horrified expression on her face.

"Yes. It was a very different time." You nodded your head sadly. "I was put to work in the fields by the time I was 6. But as my sister and I grew older, we became...appealing to the master so we became house servants. My parents were so relieved as we didn't have to do that much work as a field slaves," You shook your head.

"But if only they knew. The master would take turns with the older house servants and rape them. We could hear them crying and screaming every night we were in the house, but we couldn't do anything to help." You stare out the window recalling the painful memory, then turn your attention back to Bella.
