Being a new Cullen and Paul imprinted on you.

"Do we all have to go?" Rosalie crossed her arms in defiance.

You gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry Rose. I know you don't want to see them but it's better if we all go. Like Carlisle said, the wolves need to know that they can trust us."

The blonde groaned but waved you off. "Let's go then, we have other things to do than visit those nasty mutts."

You were the newest addition to the Cullen clan. You had been a vegetarian even before the Cullens, but you had never met others like you. When you saw the chance to be a part of a coven after a long existence of loneliness, you took it.

The problem was that the area nearby was protected by what the Cullens called 'shapeshifters.' Basically humans that could turn into wolves. You thought it was preposterous at first, but then Edward reminded you that you were in fact a vampire.

You were told that they had to meet you so they didn't accidentally kill you while you were out hunting.

Nice, isn't it?

You left with your family to the La Push border. The closer you got, the more it smelled like dogs. It didn't smell particularly bad though, it was more like a dog after a nice bath.

"I don't see the problem with the smell." You commented as you ran with the Cullens. You got several stares, mostly from Alice and Rosalie, but you shrugged them off.

When you got to the border you were met with a pack of large wolves, some taller than even Emmett.

You whistled in amazement. "They're gorgeous." Your siblings seemed to disagree, but you didn't really have any problems with the wolves. This was the first time you've even seen them!

Carlisle chuckled quietly. "Hello, this is Y/N, the newest addition to our family." You came up to stand next to him, giving a smile and a wave to the wolves.

Edward spoke up since he was the official translator. "Sam wants to get a scent of her so they know not to attack her. She's allowed to approach until I say stop." He motioned for you to go.

You took a few steps forward, practically bouncing with excitement. "Would they hate me if I tried petting them?" You asked, looking each one of them in the eye. Your gaze landed on a silvery gray wolf who seemed to freeze in its tracks.

There were a few low growls and a couple of barking laughs, but the largest black one let out a snarl to shut them all up.

You turned back to Edward, wondering if you did something to upset them. He shook his head.

"The gray one you just looked at was Paul. It seems he has imprinted on you."

You looked at the gray wolf again. He growled and ran away, looking frustrated even though it wasn't your fault at all. You didn't even know what imprinting was!

Edward answered your thoughts. "It is how wolves find their soulmates."

OH.
