Part 1 ; Reacting negatively when Embry tells you he imprinted on you. 

You stared at him with narrowed eyes. "What the hell do you mean you imprinted on me? What, are you a baby duck or something? I'm not your mother. Nope. Not interested." You crossed your arms.

He sighed and shook his head. "That's not what it is. You've seen me phase, right? It's a wolf thing. It's when we find our soul mate." You froze and stared into space. Soul mate. Soul mate. As in 'meant to be.' You shook your head furiously. "No, that's a mistake. Take it back."

He grimaced. "I can't take it back. I know you don't feel it yet but we're meant to be together in some way." You scoffed and took a step away from him. "What do you mean I don't feel it yet? Does that mean I'm going to suddenly get feelings for you or something? Does that mean that all of a sudden you have feelings for me?" His sheepish smile told you all you needed to know.

"Fuck that. No. Not happening. I have plans and those do not involve a giant ass wolf hovering over my shoulder. I'm supposed to go away for college-" He cut you off with alarmed eyes. "You can't do that."

"What the fuck do you mean I can't do that? I don't need your permission to do anything!" He shook his head and started pacing. "Look Y/N, I need to be around you but I can't leave the pack. Going without you will drive me insane. I won't be able to function."

Part of you felt bad, but the bigger part of you was furious. You didn't sign up for this. You wanted to get out of this stupid state, not stay chained to the reservation because your soul mate is a wolf. Not to mention a wolf that didn't even like you that way beforehand. You shook your head. "Listen, that's too damn bad because I'm not doing this. Talk to the elders to see if you can reverse it. Whatever happens, I'm not staying here. I'm getting out of here and some wolfy claim isn't going to stop me." You weren't going to let someone tell you what you can and can't do. You especially were not going to let someone tell you who to love. You weren't that kind of person.

You turned away from him, not wanting to see the hurt in his eyes. Sorry. But I'm not cut out for this life. You walked back in the direction you came, eager to get the hell out of there and away from Embry as soon as possible.

Part 2 ; Going back to apologize to Embry after rejecting him.
