Not As Strong (Cullen Clan x Reader)

Being the youngest one in the Cullen family was one of the best things sometimes, not only you got all the attention from your family members, but you also you got one of the best clans in the whole world teaching you how to properly behave. At first, when you turned, you thought your life was going to be forever dreadful, not a lot of vampires enjoy their eternal life when they are forced to live it that way, but somehow you managed to cross paths with the Cullen clan, and here you are, after some time, being a part of the family.

Of course, not everything was a road full of roses, you had a dark period of time where you drank human blood and had to hide almost 24/7 because of your strong crimson eyes, but now, you were being "trained" to change your lifestyle, and you were forever grateful. However, life is like a roller coaster and eventually, everything that goes up must come down, and that's what happened with you.

You had decided to hunt alone that day and since lately you had been excellent at controlling yourself, Carlisle decided that it was fine for you to go by yourself, plus Alice didn't saw anything happening to you, so it was all okay.

You started to walk slowly, all your senses on alert in case you heard, smell or felt something; since your gift wasn't fully developed yet you had to be wary of your surroundings, but still, pay attention to any animal that crossed your path. It felt like you were walking for a long time now, but in reality, you weren't really far from the town, but that was something you didn't know, more precisely, you kinda forgot that hunters used to roam the forest from time to time, but you smelled them.

At first, it was a light scent that filled up your nose, you paid no mind to it, but the closer you got, the stronger the scent felt; and you no matter how hard you tried to get away from there, you really tried but your hunger for blood got the best of you.

You could see him, only one man standing in the middle of the forest, reading a map that he had between his hands. Your eyes instantly fell on the gun he had on his side, the corners of your mouth perked up, you knew that his gun wouldn't hurt you, and the thought of having him defenceless made something inside of you spark.

The next moments where a blur for you, one second you were standing at a safe distance from him and in another you were on top of him, sinking your teeth into his fragile skin, his warm blood flowing through your throat and your hands pushing him down onto the ground, slowly covering themselves in blood. Once you were done, you pushed him back down, but instantly a wave of regret flooded through your body as if that animal instinct of killing someone suddenly faded away and the old scared you came back.

You slowly sat down on the ground, passing your hands over your face, but you quickly put them down once you saw that your face was now slightly covered in blood. It was a mess, and you knew that once your family saw what you had done, they would make you go, they would kick you out, and you didn't even have time to think about the wolves because as soon as they came into your thoughts you heard intense growling from your left.

The pack slowly walked towards you, it's Alpha (who you knew was Sam) was clearly ahead of everyone growling and showing his teeth at you, but before he could get any closer a voice spoke from behind you.

"Step back, Sam" you quickly turned back and saw Carlisle, Esme, Edward and Emmett standing behind you, of course, Jasper wouldn't be there. Carlisle got closer to you and kneeled on your side, Esme rapidly following him and embracing you into her arms "we have her, she is from our family and we would take responsibility"

You knew if you could cry there would be thousands of tears flooding from your eyes, but the only thing you could do was to sob, tearless and without the need of all that air coming out of your lungs, but you felt overwhelmed and full of guilt. So you clung to your mother, Esme, as hard as you could, shielding your eyes from everyone, feeling completely ashamed of what you've done. You could hear how Carlisle was talking to Sam (who you thought went to change) and by the sound of his voice, he wasn't very happy with you, and that was to be expected.

Instantly dark thoughts clouded your mind, you decided you were going to leave, live as a nomad, go far North of the country and live by yourself, you were a danger to everyone in Forks and today proved that.

Edward heard your thoughts as soon as they got into your head and he approached you quickly, changing place with Esme and now he was hugging you close with a strong grip on you. You were his sister, his younger sister and he would not be able to live without you by his side.

"Don't you dare even thinking about leaving, (Y/N), we will work together to make you better and to fix this"

You looked up at him, slightly cursing yourself for forgetting that he was there, but instead of answering him, you hugged him back, hiding your face in his chest, not aware of the sad looks Emmett and Esme gave you, but completely aware of the messy situation you got yourself into.
