Part 1 ; Alec's mate but him finding out after he feeds from you.

Alec was thirstier than he thought possible. He wasn't alone though, all of his coven mates were angsty and impatient for Heidi to return for today's catch. It was a miracle that Gianna had managed to stay alive amongst the thirsty vampires.

The second Heidi appeared through the door, Alec's coven mates all lunged for the nearest body. Patience was nothing but a memory at the moment. All that mattered was thirst.

Alec sank his teeth into your neck, not caring who you were or what your name was. His only focus was quenching the fire that burned in his throat. For some reason though, your blood tasted different. You were different.

He pulled away and looked down at you, watching you go limp in his arms. He studied you for a moment and froze when it clicked. A surge of protectiveness rushed through Alec and he looked around for the quickest exit. When he spotted it, he made a run for it.

Alec carried you to his room, laying your body on his bed. What do I do? What if she wakes up? What do I tell the masters? He started to notice your lack of movement and then he realized something was very wrong.

Your heartbeat was slowing down.

He set to work biting everywhere he could think of. Your wrists, your ankles, your neck. Please work. He was panicking. This was the first time he was changing someone and he couldn't afford to mess up. Not with you.

Your body tensed up under the heat of the flames and a scream ripped through your throat. While it was a cry of pain for you, it was a relief for Alec. It meant that you would live... sort of.

The days went by too slow for Alec's taste. Aro and Jane caught on to how suspicious he was being and decided to corner him.

"What are you hiding?" Jane demanded from her brother. She was the most upset because they never hid anything from each other. Alec knew her darkest secrets, so the thought of him hiding something from her was infuriating.

Aro held a hand up for Jane to stop. "One moment my dear." He held out his hand for Alec's. Alec steeled himself over and took his master's hand. Please don't hurt her. Please don't hurt her. Kept repeating in his mind.

Aro pulled away and looked curiously between the twins. "Might we meet her?" He asked Alec. Jane growled under her breath. "Meet who? Brother why do you keep this secret from me?"

Instead of explaining, Alec took Jane by the hand and led her to where you were changing. Aro followed behind them, now interested in the fact that one of his favorites found his mate.

Alec was nervous. This was the final day, and he knew that you'd be waking up any moment now. They all entered the room and Jane gasped upon seeing you lying on the bed. "You are changing a human! Why?" She looked at her brother in disbelief.

Aro answered for Alec. "She is his mate. He fed from her when Heidi brought in the tour group the other day. The only way for her to survive was to change her." He explained.

Jane frowned, hurt that her brother didn't trust her with information as important as this. "Sister, it is nothing against you. I thought there would be consequences. I was scared." Alec admitted quietly. He reached for her hand and she reluctantly took his hand. "Just do not make it a habit." She muttered.

The three went silent as your heartbeat stopped. When it ceased, so did the fire that burned through your veins like liquid lava.

You opened your eyes and hissed as the light blinded you. You couldn't remember ever seeing a light shine so bright. What happened to me? You sat up, going faster than you expected. "What the hell?" You mumbled.
