Lizzie POV

After we spend our day with visiting Aubrey's family we decided to leave cause we still have work to do.
I don't think Aubrey knows this but I've never been more happy and proud of her to go that way and meet her biological family.

We've been separated for years and I missed so many life changing events in her life. Her opening the gallery. Her first huge concert and a lot of other things that I missed. But I'm more than happy that I got see her experience this. That I am able to be by her side means everything.

I don't think she has a clue but I keep falling for her more every single day. Even the time when we weren't with each other. I wasn't able to think of anything or anyone else. She's been on my mind ever since we met and this won't change.

The Montgomery's wanted us to stay for the weekend. They have a lot of space and they'd love to have us around closer but we both said we would do it another time. Their hospitality is huge and they really got close to us even though we don't know each other for long.

Aubrey was currently driving and focused on the road which gave me the opportunity to focus on her. Her hand rested on my thigh when she didn't use the coupling. She still gives me affection while being concentrated on a whole different thing.

It was already dark outside and the only thing lighting up the night where the lights that shined through the windows. The car lights flashing us when they drive by. The highway was clear and
Aubrey tends to drive a bit faster than usual but I know what she's doing so it's fine.

Her hair was laying perfectly but she had a couple strains that annoyed her. So I moved my hand up to her face tucking her hair behind her ear making her piercings glister in the traffic lights. She leaned her head into my palm kissing it gently as a thank you gesture which I loved. The little things make me even fall harder for her. I removed my hand back letting it rest on hers which lays on my thigh.

I played with the rings on her hand moving them around and I saw how a adorable grin formed on her face. Sometimes we just enjoy the music In the car and stay silent for a while. It's not an awkward silence or a silence because we don't know what to talk about. We just enjoy the company and take in the moment speaking even though we aren't exchanging any words.

Her eyes shimmered in the red green and bright lights making the brown look even more special.
People say you always fall for brown eyes and hers are the ones I'm falling for... and I don't wanna stop falling for a single moment. If I'd be able to take screenshots with my eyes I would probably capture this image forever. The soft smile resting on her face. The lights surrounding her perfectly.
Her hair tucked behind her ear and her hand resting on my thigh. It might sound silly but this is actually an intimate moment for me. It makes it intimate when we didn't talk. A moment to remember and a moment I want to repeat only with her.

„Honey. Your staring." she spoke up not taking her eyes off the road for a single moment.

„No I'm just admiring. There's a difference babe."
I replied and a grin formed on her face making little dimples appear on her cheeks.

„You got something on your mind."
She spoke up.

„Why do you think that?"

„I don't think that, it I know it. Come on tell me."
She proved again how good she knows me.

„I'm just in complete euphoria right now. That I got to experience you meeting your family for the first time means a lot to me. I noticed throughout the whole day how you blossomed. Your smile didn't fade even in the serious topics you kept a soft expression. I'm so proud that you decided to meet them and I'm in pure joy that it went so well and that you finally have the family you always wanted and deserved."
