Lizzie POV

I dialed a number and waited for someone to pick up.

„Caitlin Phillips hello?" she answered the call...

„Heyy. It's me Lizzie." there was silence on the other line.

„Look i know we don't really talk and stuff and we both don't really have reasons to do so especially you... but that's not the point why I'm calling sorry.
It's just... I think I have something that could help on finding who set the gallery on fire. You guys still work on the case right?"

„Yeah. We do. What It is that might help?"
She asked curiously.

„A Letter."

„A letter?" she questioned confused and I hummed.

„Yes. A threatening letter to be specific."

„Okay. I'm listening. Tell me everything you know."
She enquirers and I glanced down at the letter laying on Aubrey's desk.

„My ex fiancé didn't really take the break up well. It's a complicated story and if I would go into details I'd probably sit with you on the phone until god know when. He blackmailed me once to break up with Aubrey because she beat him up and she would get into prison and all. I did what he told me to do but I only did it to protect bre. Now we are back together and all and on the same day when the gallery burned down she received a letter."

„Do you still have the letter?" she asked and I hummed.

„I do actually. It was in Aubrey's clothes when she ran into the burning building. It's damaged but you can still read everything on it. When she got it she called me and was acting crazy that something might happen to me. She then picked me up from work and we drove back and that was the time when the fire happened."

„Can you bring me the letter to the station?"

„Sure."

„This is good evidence Lizzie. What's written on it?" she asked

just because you think I'm done with you doesn't mean I am. If I can't have her... nobody can." I read it out and the line staid silent for a moment.

„Okay. This might really benefit us. So your suspect is your ex fiancé?" she asked to make sure.

„Yes. Robbie Arnett. Caitlin I really believe that was him... and I want him behind bars for everything that he made us feel. The suffering Aubrey went through is ginormous."

„I know. I haven't really visited her in the hospital and I feel bad for it. I wanted to but I don't know if it was right to come in as an ex girlfriend y'know."

„Don't forget that you both where friends before.
I know she hurt you but she never wanted to. I think she would have appreciated to have you around her even if she wasn't noticing it."

„I know and I want my friend back but I'm not ready yet. I'm still getting over it and I need to clear my head fully before I tell her that we can be friends again."

„I understand it Caitlin. She'll be happy to hear from you. But I'll bring you the letter and you can see what's on it." I replied and she hummed.

„Do that. Hopefully this will have an end for you guys. Especially for Aubrey. She deserves to move on with you. If he isn't behind bars he'll always make problems."

„Yeah. Hopefully. I'll see you later." and I hung up the call placing my phone aside.

I folded the letter together and placed it back into the envelope.
I haven't heard much but I hope that Gabriella and Aubrey got to talk. Now that she got a mother she can talk to her about thinks like that and she has someone else to open up to as well.
