Aubrey POV

Weeks have passed since I came back from my coma. Lizzie was never leaving my side as she promised. I was getting back on track quickly and I was able to talk completely normal by now. Nothing hurts anymore but they still need to help me with walking which is the only issue for now.

I don't have any amnesia which is relieving because I don't think that Lizzie would have been able to do this one more time. Even though she is strong I don't believe that she would have been able to see me like this again.

My family was here as well and that really often.
They brought me stuff from home and my siblings sneaked in some good food since the hospital food is not really likable. I've spend a lot time with them and bonded better than I thought it would be possible.

The doctors where still doing some tests and scans on my organs since they got stuck under so many bricks and wood. I feel like there is something they don't tell me but I don't want to push this.

„Morning Aubrey. How are you feeling today?" the nurse asked me as she walked in.

„Good so far thanks."

„We need to do some Scans again and after that you might get out." I smiled wide at her news and so did Lizzie who was sitting next to me.

„Really? Does that mean I can finally go home?"
I asked while optimism was rushing though my body.

„Hopefully yes. You've spend a lot of time here. You think you can get up and try to walk with the crutches?" she asked while handing me the crutches to walk.

„Sure. I'll try." I slipped out of the blanket and took a hold of the crutches. I shivered for a moment but after some seconds I got used to standing again and walked a little bit closer to the door.

„Great. That's good. The scanning room is waiting for us." she encouraged me and I smiled down at myself.

„Babe why don't you go home. I'm sure this will take some time. After that you can pick me up."
I turned to Lizzie.

„You Sure you don't Want me around?" she asked and I smiled at her.

„I always want you around but you've been here ever since I woke up." she nod and got up to grab her things. She then walked up to me and stroked my arm while giving me a gentle kiss which I replied to instantly.

„I love you. I'll be back in no time alright." she tugged my hair behind my ear and I nod at her.

„Love you too." and she smiled at me leaving the room before us.

„Seeing this really makes my heart melt Aubrey. She barely left your side when you laid in the coma. Many partners lose hope fast but she kept going and staid here." the nurse explained to me while we walked through the hallway.

„Yeah. She's amazing. I love her endlessly and having her by my side helps a lot." she nod and smiled while leading me through a door.

„Alright are you ready?" she asked while I sat down placing the crutches aside.

„I gotta ask. Why are you making these tests? I mean I am still in pain but I thought this was something that will go away."

The nurse stopped in her track and watched me closely. „Wait. You said you weren't in pain. Where does it hurt?" she asked.

„I know I kept it to myself. I didn't want Lizzie to get worried because she's been through a lot seeing me like this. It's actually in my hip area."
She had a worried expression in her face and I feel like she knows something I don't.
