"Sorry, only authorised personal only--" Nathanson tried to say but was cut off when Rebecca simply brushed past him, tired eyes looking for her target. And when they found them, a small smile graced her lips as she went towards the pair.

"Fitz." She greeted as she arrived, taking another sip from her near empty coffee cup. Fitz turned to her and took in her appearance, her black shirt having creases in it (and a small stain of coffee) her eyes starting to show bags underneath. In short, she was a mess.

"Is that Rebecca?" Jemma asked, still stuck in the framework version of the lab, just with no one in.

"Hey Jem." Sitwell greeted and even added a little wave, before putting it down quickly with an embarrassed look on her face. Jemma lifted off the headset, the other woman letting the two talk out what they could make with the device, before the two remembered that she was there.

"Are you ok?" Simmons asked, going into doctor mode as she noticed her hand tingle slightly, and her bags starting to show under her eyes.

"Yeah. Yeah, good, fine. Just uh- got my session today. 'My side of the story' they say. That can't go wrong, right?" She asked, and despite the joke in her words, her tone had turned a small part hostile. Not at them, as they knew, but something else.

The two stared at their friend as she stared at the floor, lost in her own world. Her own hell of reflection and a gunshot that changed a lot of things for her.

A hand on her shoulder made her jump out of her mental prison and into the reality she was in. Smiling slightly at Fitz as his eyes held concern in them. "I'm fine Fitz, really." Her words accidentally triggered Fitz to think about his other friend who had used those very words. One who had also changed significantly over the past six months, even if the main difference was that he saw Sitwell, and not the other.

"Who the hell are you?" Mack asked, making the three look over at the door. Seeing both the aforementioned Mack, and Coulson.

"Leave them be Nathanson, they have more reason to be here than you do." Jemma said in a snarky tone, making Rebecca smile and try to suppress a small giggle. Despite facing away from the other woman, Jemma did have a smile for a moment at the sound of her friend's laugh.

"Lot of new faces." Mack noted as both he and Coulson entered the lab.

"Good to see yours." Simmons said with her famous cheery smile as the two shared a hug. Mack and Coulson gave Rebecca a nod that was promptly returned, but this time with a smile on her face. One that made Coulson brighten up a little as well, given as how she was constantly down when doing anything. So, seeing her at least a small bit happier brought him some joy, even with the pressing time limit the other two had on finding Daisy.

"Six weeks, that's a record." Fitz said as both he and Coulson shared a high five.

"Heard you got a promotion?" Coulson asked, a smile on his face. One that conveyed a proudness. His fatherly instincts seemed to transition to them more with Daisy and Aaron on the run.

"Tell them the title." Fitz said as he looked at his girlfriend.

"Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology." Simmons told them.

"Or SADIST." Fitz spelled out, Rebecca not being able to stop the snort of laughter at the joke.

"They keeping you busy?" Mack asked.

"Busy work mostly."

"Yeah, and random state of the art lie detector tests." Fitz finished. Rebecca physically feeling the happiness of the room turned to the more bitter tone the whole base had now. With the new director and protocols, along with their badges changing. It, in her mind anyway, was a shitshow.
