The End is at Hand

Lisa had been woken up hastily. When she opened her eyes, she saw a giant orange laser shoot right passed them. It was like Starkiller Base times one-thousand, all firing down on Earth.

"Are those space lasers?" Sousa asked.

"Just lasers that happen to be in space," Daisy said.

"But they're weapons, right?"

"One-hundred percent. But, they don't seem to be aimed at us, which means they probably don't see us yet," Daisy said, both confused and kind of glad.

"Hope that's still true after I do this," Mack said, flicking switches and powering the Quinjet back on.

"Alright," Mack said, keeping them all on the same page with their odds and situation, "we got less than a minute before we dock with the Zephyr...or the other things gonna happen."

Lisa put her hand on Sousa's shoulder, as he was pretty much blocking the way to the cockpit. Sousa moved a hand to her's. It was all he could do for some form of comfort within this very crazy moment in time.

"Let's say we manage to dock with the Zephyr and somehow rescue our crew. Then what?" Sousa asked.

"One problem at a time," Mack said, glossing over the fact there was no plan.

Lisa took her hand from Sousa's shoulder and quickly wrote in the pad and handed it to Sousa, "no plan," her words were.

"Great," Sousa said, somehow taking it in some sort of stride.

"Here we go," Daisy said, "three...two...one..."

They moved forward, more lasers going off around them. They adjusted it as much as they could; small movements here and there to compensate.

The ship jolted and shuddered. Then...silence for a moment. The engines powered down. The four shared a look.

"Nice flaying, Tremors," Mack said.

"I thought it was Quake," Sousa joked.

"I thought it was Daisy..."

"Either works," Daisy said.

There was a rumble and sudden crackle of energy. Sousa grabbed Lisa's arm as the two tumbled.

"What was that?" Mack asked, commander voice instantly activating, "are we hit?"

Sousa and Lisa looked out the window, still a hand on the arm for each, just for support as the shuddering continued.

"No," Daisy answered, "I think they've locked onto the Zephyr."

Lisa had a feeling Han Solo wasn't going to be up there to greet them. It was more like A New Hope with Leia's ship being boarded than that. Even if it was reversed with it being rebels this I've instead of Imperials boarding.

It was a huge ship, round front but going into a sort of straight line. It was an odd mixture of shape. Mainly white/silver colour scheme with some black around it and blue lighting. A shield parted in a circular pattern with the tractor beam locked onto the Zephyr (and, of course, them) as it lifted them up.

They were in. No. Going back now.

The ship was just as big inside as before. Similar scheme, but with more of the blue parts acting like veins. Reflective floors as well. Lights spread out as if a stage of some sort.

It was, also, empty. No one in sight. At least, from the height they were at anyway.

They were passed from one tractor beam to another, as if on a rollercoaster or track from the future. The noise was bass filed. Around the fourth or fifth tractor beam, they were brought down to a landing position.  Their journey had come to an end. They were in.
