Jemma Simmons and Leopold Fitz hand no choice but to watch as two of their teammates and friends were thrown through the portal to god knew what lay beyond (they'd rather not think about it). Jemma covered her mouth, while Fitz only stared in shock. A silence going over all the agents in the room.

"May.... Aaron." Was the only thing that came out of Fitz's mouth. Jemma buried herself into her husband's shoulder.

"No, not like this. Not by him." Jemma whispered, trying to convince herself that it wasn't real. Fitz only placed his hand on his wife's hair, in an attempt to comfort her. But also, to comfort himself as well, trying to ground himself.

"Fitzsimmons, do you read? We are pinned down, they've breached Zephyr one. Any word back from the temple?" Daisy's voice broke through the comms. The two broke apart at the sound of their best friend's voice, not knowing how to break the news to her about the previous events that they themselves hadn't even started to digest yet.

"Control, do you read?" Her voice was more desperate this time. Fitz looked up at the ceiling, bracing himself to break the news. To make itself real to himself.

"May.... May and Aaron are down." He finally let out, taking a large breath afterwards.

".... What?" was the confused response from Daisy, her voice shaking slightly.

"Sarge – he stabbed May, Izel got Aaron; they're gone Daisy," Jemma croaked.

"That's not possible. It –"

"We saw it with our own eyes." Fitz interrupted with. However, before the two could get a response, static blared through the comms before it cut off entirely.

"Daisy?" Jemma asked, a woeful attempt to gain something from her friend. Although, for the two of them. That wasn't going to be the worst thing that would occur for the pair that day...

The Zephyr was silent like the base. They were all trying to process the information that was just fired at them. While Daisy was frozen, Elena was looking at Lisa. The girl rested her hands on the table. Slightly rocking back and forth.

"You were right." Daisy, again, was the one to break the silence. The words carried a weight with them. She continued them with, "I should've never trusted him. I should've –"

"No, it wasn't right for me to –"

"No, no, no, no. Don't do that. Don't you walk it back. I did this. May...and Aaron." She took a moment to try and gather herself at the names. "This is on me." She said in conclusion.

"Then make it worth something. It's what Aaron would say if he was here." Elena said grimly, finally taking her eyes off of Lisa.

"Bobo? Bobo, are you there, talk to me. Bobo!" Deke's voice broke through the comms next, coming over the bangs on the door from the infected. The team made their way to the main area.

"Lisa, c'mon." the girl finally looked up, meeting Daisy's eyes. Which held a mixture of emotions: grief, rage and sadness along with others all wrapped into one. Lisa joined them. Mack finally turned on the comms to respond.

"Deke, it's good to hear your voice" Mack started the conversation off with. Deke informed them that he was under siege by the infected. His tone panicked and paced quickly as he sounded like he was pacing around the Quinjet. And, to add to their issues, the Quinjet was about 200 yards away, Daisy told them that she wouldn't be able to take out that many Shrike. Hell, she barely made it to them in the first place. Lisa found herself moving a bit towards Elena. Lisa wasn't a fighter, Elena was.

"Alright, Deke, listen to me. You're gonna have to fly over to us." Mack saying that only added to the issues as Deke had about zero experience flying the thing.
