"Skye!" Katie yelled out, running towards her best friend as she arrived, along with Cal. Drawing a crowd around them. She instantly threw her arms around the agent, Skye hugging back tightly.

"Where's my wife?" Cal yelled.

"Where's Aaron?" Katie asked in a quieter voice to Skye only. Who was about to answer, until Cal spoke up once again.

"Ah, didn't expect to see me here so soon, did you my love? Not after such a well-planned out banishing!" He said, sarcasm dripping from him.

"I don't know, or where Lincoln is either." Skye answered, worry starting to pile on her.

"You took me from my home!" Cal yelled, Katie looking back at her sister with a look that told her that the situation wasn't going to end well.

"Your brother is gone. And it's better for it, Katie. He was distracting you." Francis voiced as he approached the two girls, who instantly glared at him.

"Distracting me from what, Francis? You?" She seethed, Skye grabbed her arm to restrain her, despite her eyes never leaving the boy. So, this was the ex that Katie had talked about with her in private, it seemed.

"From our mission of keeping this a secret." Francis argued. Katie trying again to get to him, Skye moved in the way with a hand on her chest to stop her this time.

"So, what you're going to kill him? Over my dead body!" She exclaimed, trying to hit her ex once again.

Skye held her back. "Katie, stop! Lincoln is still out there. We need to find him and Aaron." She said, her friend starting to control herself.

Seemed the note he had left her had done more damage than either of the other two had thought. Skye had seen Francis in passing, never really noticing him. He looked like your average guy; average face, hair, clothing. Nothing about him stuck out as anything out of the ordinary. Then again, maybe that was the point.

Once Skye was sure that Katie was calm enough (at least, enough to not start a fight) she turned to Gordan, asking if he could try and find either of the two. The man nodded and teleported. "What happened?" Jiaying asked.

"There was an attack." Skye answered. Cal tried to rear the conversation back to the issue that he had raised: the fact that Jiaying had tried to take Cal away from his daughter.

Katie turned to Skye, who looked down at the floor. Cal was soon guided away, after being calmed down by his wife. Gordon then reappeared, a blood on his forehead. He stumbled slightly, Katie stabilising him. "It was HYDRA, I tried to stop him. They took Lincoln." He revealed.

"Gordon-"

"Your friend wasn't with them. I don't know where he is, I'm sorry Katie." He answered, she gulped. She turned to Skye, who is worry had skyrocketed. Katie went to her, grabbing her hand. Although, neither really know as to whether it was for Katie or for Skye's comfort. But neither cared.

"I don't understand, why were they there?" Skye asked as she and Katie entered Jiaying's room.

"Because of me. I asked him to go and to keep you safe, and he must have asked Aaron to go too because of his protectiveness over you. It was a mistake I should never have let you go at all." Jiaying answered.

"It was the right thing to do, we have to make sure that the Cal we put out into the world is the same Cal that I've seen here. The safe and user-friendly Cal." Skye replied, Jiaying smiled and tried to make her daughter not feel as much guilt over the situation. A mother's love did that.
