Rebecca had only been on the lower deck of the BUS, so getting to see the upper deck was a nice change of pace. Granted, it was still filled with bullet holes and broken glass, almost as a reminder of the pain. But, still, being on board was a nice feeling.
It almost made her feel apart of the team.
Hunter and Skye had just returned with what they needed to get the other team into their objective. As she gave Mack the go ahead, they finally heard the chatter from the other team as Mack told them that they were pulling up outside.
"I'm surprised it still fits you." Coulson said, they could hear the smile from where they were.
And they could also hear the eye roll from Aaron as he spoke, "I'm surprised I still have the thing." He said as he played with the sleeves.
"If it makes you feel better, I think you look great, bud." Skye said over the comms.
"Yeah, gonna get all the attention in there." Rebecca's voice then came over after Skye's. He could just hear the teasing smile she'd be wearing right now.
"Shame then, ain't it?" He asked her, he had a slight smile of his own, but the two in the car saw it shake a little bit.
"Depends on who you ask." Was Rebecca's response. As soon as she finished, the vehicle they were in came to a stop as Mack moved to the back and opened the door for them. Coulson was out first in a suit that had a shirt that wasn't fully buttoned up.
"Thank you." Coulson told Mack as he got out.
"Sir, notice the car? 1962 Rolls. Restored it myself." Mack said, trying to impress the man. The man gave him a smile as he responded.
"I noticed. Still not letting you work on Lola." Mack nodded with his own smile, this own an accepting one. But it also held some playfulness to it.
"In time, sir. In time." Mack said.
May was next out of the car, wearing a sparkly silver dress. As much as her look screamed that she hated it, it did look nice on her.
"This is fun right? Isn't this fun? Look, cufflinks." Coulson asked May as he showed her the item he mentioned.
"I will pay you $500 right now for a pair of flats." May almost sounded like he was begging Coulson. Coulson lowered his cufflinks as he looked to Mack.
"Good luck, sir." Was all Mack said.
Finally, Aaron stepped out, wearing the same black top that he wore when he went to the party with Skye, where they met Ian Quinn.
With that, Coulson took May by the arm and looped his through it; the three put on the best smile they could, trying to portray that they were a happy family.
"Go get them, kid." Mack said. Aaron looked at him with a slight glare.
"Stop enjoying this."
They approached the front desk, "Identification, please." The man asked; Coulson reached into his bag and pulled out his ID. While May and Aaron watched him.
"Charles, you got ours, right?" May asked the man, pointing between herself and Aaron.
"Yes." Coulson as he pulled out two other IDs.
"I like making him carry my things. Gives him purpose." The man only smiled in amusement as he took the IDs and checked them.
"Plus, that way I know she can't take off without me." Was Coulson's rebuttal.
"Oh, well, you never know when a better offer might come along, right?" That was May's one.
As the man scanned the IDs, the three watched with slightly nervous eyes. However, the words "approved" appeared on screen. So, they were safe, for now.
