As I Always Have Been

Daisy Johnson gasped for air. She breathed heavily. Had something happened? Are my friends ok?

She opened up her tube. Looking around, after rubbing her eyes a bit, she saw that Aaron was still asleep. She stat up, seeing Agent Sousa sleeping near her. Odd, but comforting. He did get her out after all. She'd do the same as well. Just to make sure that the other person was actually ok.

She slid off, rubbing her arms trying to get all of her senses back when –

"Hey," Sousa said, seemingly being awoken by her movements, "what are you doing up?"

"How, uh, how long have you been here?" Daisy asked.

"Well, I guess, uh...when did you got sleep?" he didn't wait for an answer, "since then. I think I heard Lisa come in for a bit, but I guess that might've either been something my brain cooked up, or she left."

"Did we jump again?"

Sousa shook his head, eyes confused whilst her's were concerned, "I'm not sure –" he was cut off when Daisy's concern made her leave the room – though he did note her putting her hand quickly on Aaron's pod while passing, "hey, where are you going?" He followed her.

There was rapid beeping going on in the control room (Lisa had found out the actual name of the place and remembered it this time). All Agents were on deck.

"I've got damage to nearly all systems," Mack said as an alarm blared.

"Trying to get a read on our location," May said, looking to Lisa and nodding to another computer; the other girl nodded, rushing to it – narrowly going around Daisy – and tapping on it, trying not to let it overwhelm her. Whilst she did, she heard voices in her head – voices of memories – hitting her and helping her along with her buttons. She seemed to know them all off by heart.

"What's happening?" Daisy asked, wanting to be on the same page as her friends.

"Time Drive overloaded," May said, doing just that.

"Any chance that's Twenty-first-century slang for 'worked normally'?" Sousa said, even if he could guess the answer before it came.

"Where are we?" Mack asked in frustration.

"Guys," Daisy said from the cockpit, "anyone want to fill me in on that?"

That was a beautiful, but probably deadly, wave of...well, something. A black whole of sorts. Of time. A blinding light coming from it.

A couple sparks made her turn back.

"I was so much happier asleep," Sousa lamented, now almost jealous of the boy in the box – not...not that box, the pod box.

"Where's Coulson?" Daisy asked.

"Charging," May said, her eyes holding her own frustration with that answer.

Yo-yo then appeared on one of the screens, "looks like something just fried the Quinjet's flight system," she reported to them.

"We can't afford to lose that. You anywhere nearby?" Mack asked.

"Hey, it's me. Everywhere is nearby. I'm already here. I'll check it out," Lisa smirked at the quip, eyeing May doing the same thing.

The ship rocked a bit, everything flickering. Whatever it was, it was doing massive amounts of damage.

"Simmons? Are you seeing this?"

"Yes, radiation levels are off the charts. We need to get out of this," Simmons said over the radio.

"I don't want to alarm anyone," Deke said as he ran into the room, even if that just made him do that more.

"Yeah, wouldn't want to spoil our feeling of Zen," Mack quipped.
