The door opening was a sound Aaron was used to. People would bring food or run tests on what they needed from him.

This time, it was his new roommate, Daisy.

"Morning, goth."He said in greeting.

"Morning, Rust Cohle." She threw back at him, a smirk on her face.

Aaron scoffed, but she could see he was fighting not to continue it, "What is it?" He asked, deciding to just kill it there.

There was a beat of silence, "I need a favour."

He looked at her, "What?"

"Being reinstated today as an agent. Could use you there as moral support?"

Aaron scoffed, "If there's one thing I know, it's that Daisy Johnson does not need moral support, least of all from me."

Her gaze never wavered from a soft, but determined, look, "I get it, ok? Come out when needed, then right back in here. But, it's not any way to live, bud. Besides, I'm not the best roomie." She said the last part with a self deprecating chuckle.

Aaron sighed, looking back at the ceiling once again, "It'll be with Coulson and Mack. That's who you'll be assigned with." She said, trying to sweeten the deal.

And it worked, "...Fine."

It was public. Very public. SHIELD seemed to be long past it's days of being in the shadows. Then again, maybe it was in that fucking speech Aaron had missed.

"A true hero's not in it for the glory. Some seek out justice in the face of danger, even if it means living life in the shadows. We're proud to announce that Daisy Johnson, one of SHIELD'S most dedicated agents, can finally step into the spotlight. And get the recognition she deserves." Applause and cheers started at the pause in his speech. It gave said inhuman to have a moment to take it all in. Although, she didn't exactly like being in the spotlight. Her eyes met Aaron's and (even without the look she was giving) her tense posture gave it away. The boy only had a small smile on his lips, seeming to get some slight enjoyment out of it. It was kind of nostalgic, in a weird way. Having her achieve (officially) agent status. Just like on the BUS, when everything seemed fine. When everything seemed happy and normal. Or at least, as normal as it could get when you're on a flying plane that is used to help solve odd things in the weird. But still, it was home. Or at least, as close as either one of the two were going to get it seemed.

"During her time undercover, she risked her life to protect everyday citizens. When the Watchdogs targeted the Edison bridge, Agent Johnson held off the collapse until everyone was evacuated. Now, she fled to protect her cover. But today, we finally get to say, 'thank you'," More applause followed after that. But, this time, she seemed to take it better. Being a little more relaxed.

He continued on, welcoming someone that Daisy had saved on the bridge. The woman recounted her story, mainly only three things that were important. That being: Fire, falling and finally Daisy saving her life.

"Looks like Director Mace is enjoying this more than Daisy." Mack said as he passed a bench, the other two (that being Coulson and Aaron) keeping an eye on the proceedings. Although, it did provide a distraction for the younger male, him finally looking away from his colleague and to his other ones. "You know who's more excited about it than either of them?" Coulson asked rhetorically. Them all knowing who he was referring to. "General Talbot bails us out one time and acts like we owe him a damn parade."

"You think the director would actually do that if asked?" Aaron couldn't help but question, it gained a smile from Coulson and a reply of "Who knows kid?" from Mack.
