Thank you for giving Reef Knight a go, it's greatly appreciated.
Our characters travel around a lot, and these cities/suburbs are fake. Made up for the story. Although they may be an existing place, within the book- they are placed randomly around a random map in Canada.
Our characters live in Oakvale as of now.
I am not American nor British, as an Australian, I have different knowledge of things. School being an example of that, their university year will start in February. I don't actually know why I didn't put them in Australia but it's too late to change it!
If I make any Australian references which you do not understand, just comment your question and I'm sure myself or another reader will help you out.

In my personal opinion, the first few chapters are boring and take a while to get into the plot. However chapter 5 and up is where the plot really comes in so stick around for that :)
