2 weeks ago, Reef and I had had our moment in the diner, however now I stood with maman and grand-mère to watch Juliet perform her ballet recital on stage.

"She's amazing for a 12 year old," I whispered to maman, watching my sœur do a pirouette. Maman nodded in agreement, proudness evident in her eyes.

"She's been at every practice and even staying later to make this perfect. We've been looking into dance academies for her so Juliet has been trying harder than ever to make the opportunity happen for her."

I nodded and clapped as Juliet finished her dance, ending in a bow with cheers erupting from the crowd.

"That was a horrible performance, I bet I could do better than that," I teased Juliet, doing a terrible spin in the living room as an example. She snorted and placed her trophy and certificate down on our table.

"You wouldn't last a day in dance, you have to put your arms like this," she put her arms in the position before lifting her leg in the air into what I think she said was an arabesque.

"Really? I don't think that's how it goes Juliet. But watch this," I exclaimed, spinning on one foot with the other tucked up - balanced against my other legs knee - and my hands posed in an arch above my head. However I obviously had no balance as I started falling backwards.

Warm arms enveloped me and kept me from falling down. I looked up and saw Reef standing there, his arms under my armpits and his hands holding my elbows.

"You should definitely not take a career in dance," he smirked, pulling me up. I dust off imaginary dust and huffed.

"Where were you this afternoon?" I asked, sitting on the couch, pulling Juliet into a headlock while keeping an eye on Reef.

"Let go of me you choux," she yelled, pushing on my elbows. She was still learning French, so it was obviously not perfect and few words just didn't fit right in the sentence.

"You just called me a cabbage?" I asked her, looking down at where she was trying to get out of my hold.

"No, I called you a cow," she stated.

"That would be a vache," I grinned, letting go of her and poking her ribs, before running and hiding behind Reef as she got up as well to chase me. I'm not sure how she managed to mix up those two words but she did.

"I don't care!" Juliet scowled, picking up her trophies and leaving to her room.

"Phew, that was close," I wiped imaginary sweat of my brow. "Let's go, you have to tell me where you were," I told Reef, grabbing his arm and dragging him up to his room. I pushed him in and shut the door behind me, jumping beside him onto the bed.

"You seem overly happy today?" Reef questioned me. I shrugged and watched him upside down as he rummaged around in his desk.

"Here you are m'lady," he threw me a piece of paper, laying on the bed on his back with his hands crossed behind his head. I opened the letter and started reading.
