a/n:Evelyn is now 32 weeks along.

Today was December first and Evelyn and Spencer were decorating her house. it had been deemed safe to move bak in as long as someone was with her at nights. Evelyn was playing Christmas music throughout the house, the pair singing along. it was a Sunday, and thankfully they had no cases to prevent them from having their day off. since Evelyn was nearing the end of her pregnancy Spencer wouldn't let her go higher than three inches off the floor, unless she was going upstairs. soon after her baby shower the whole team had come over and helped Evelyn decorate the nursery. ready for the baby to arrive. she had also had her hospital bag already packed, Spencer being a nervous wreck about it. once they were done decorating they danced around the living room, baking and watching movies for the rest of the day. even though his favorite holiday was halloween, Spencer loved Christmas as well, mostly because it was evelyn's favorite holiday and always made her happy, which he loved to see. the pair had ended up falling asleep on the couch, awoken by their phones going off, alerting them that they had a case. Evelyn groans, not being a morning person, but surprisingly getting up before Spencer. he had heard the sound, as he had also groaned and turned it off. she decided to take a quick shower, changing and coming back out, surprised to see Spencer still on the couch. she walked over to him, shaking him gently. "Spencer, wake up. we have a case." she said softly, crouching down to eye level. Spencer groans and opens his eyes, finally getting up. Evelyn finished getting ready and made a quick breakfast for them. Spencer practically inhaling it before they left. Spencer had driven them, as he refused to let Evelyn take the subway due to the germs. they soon arrived, going to the 6th floor. Penelope had presented the case, Evelyn not being in the room since cases now made her nauseous, similar to how she first found out the news. they soon came out, Evelyn rejoining the group. "where is the case?" she asked. "thankfully here, about two hours away." Spencer said. Evelyn nodded, smiling softly. "have fun." she joked as they left. once they had left, she joined Penelope in her bat cave, helping her with whatever the team gave her to do. a couple hours later Evelyn had come back in after using the bathroom, sitting next to Penelope. "hey Penelope, don't freak out, but I think my water broke while I was in the bathroom." Evelyn said, awkwardly smiling at her. Penelope looked at Evelyn with wide eyes. "oh we gotta go." Penelope said, immediately standing up, rushing out, holding Evelyns hand, rushing to her car, getting Evelyn in and driving to the hospital. as soon as they got there Penelope rushed Evelyn in, rushing her back to the delivery room, Penelope not being allowed in with her. Penelope made her way to the waiting room, taking a seat in a chair, her leg bouncing as she impatiently waited. her phone soon rang, hotch calling. "shoot." she mumbled as she realized she didn't bring her computer. "Garcia-" hotch been before Penelope cut him off. "I don't have anything yet, I'm currently at the hospital with Evelyn." she explained. "hospital with Evelyn? is everything okay, Garcia?" hotch asked, Spencer perking up as he heard Evelyn was in the hospital. "oh yea, she's great, well as great as you can be when having a baby." Penelope explained. "keep us updated, I'll send Spencer." hotch said before hanging up. "is Evelyn okay?" Spencer asked, walking with hotch as hotch pulled him aside, not wanting to distract the team. "she's in labor. go, she's going to want you there. we're fine here." hotch said, Spencer rushing out. "what was that about?" Derek asked. "nothing, let's get back to the case." hotch said. Spencer sped over to the hospital Evelyn was at, thankful he had access to an emergency vehicle. as soon as Spencer got there, he rushed in, finding Penelope. "has it happened yet?" he asked as the chimed that played every time a baby was born went off. Penelope smiled. "I think it just did." she smiled. Spencer sat next to Penelope as they waited, going to see her as soon as they got the chance. Spencer and Penelope walked into the room, Evelyn immediately smiling. "she'll be back soon." Evelyn said softly, looking up at them. "have you seen her yet?" Spencer asked softly. Evelyn nodded. "she looks exactly like you, but female." she said. "I have no idea how or why, but frankly, I'm not complaining" she continued. Spencer smiled, running his hand through her hair. a few minutes later, the baby was brought in, being handed to Evelyn. "holy shit." Spencer whispered as he saw just how much the baby looked like him. there were certain features she had that came from Evelyn, but they were only noticeable if you looked closely. "are you sure you two didn't- y'know." Penelope said, not wanting to make them uncomfortable. "we're very sure." Evelyn said, Spencer laughing. "will you two be her godparents?" she asks, Penelope immediately tearing up. "are you serious?" she asked. Evelyn nodded, Penelope and Spencer immediately agreeing. "she's absolutely beautiful." Spencer whispered, kissing the baby's head
