"I'm almost there." "Right behind you, Dave." luke adds. "So are we." evelyn adds. everett lynch had just broke grace out of jail and was now on the run and the team was rushing to stop them. "They think Lynch has a radio." "So he could still be inside trying to confuse us tactically." "Yeah, damn it. Where the hell is everybody?" "All right, we're going in." rossi then calls emily. "dave." "Lynch has compromised our tactical communication. HRT isn't here, and Metro hasn't shut down one damn street around this building yet." "All right, we can't wait for backup. I'll cover this one." evelyn says to spencer once they arrived on scene. "I'll take the parking garage at Piedmont and 10th." spencer responded, the two of them splitting. "Everett Lynch, FBI! Stop! Drop your weapon and place your hands on your head. Now!" "Ok! Hey! Take it easy. Gee, lady, there's no reason to gun down a daddy in front of his little girl. Right?" "All right, kick it over. Kick it over! All right, Grace, you, too. Come on. Drop your backpack and let me see your hands. Come on! Now! All right. Don't move." evelyn says, commanding them. "y'know michael told me a lot about you. did you have to go and kill my only brother?" everett says. "what?" evelyn says in disbelief as she reaches down to grab the gun. "Aah! Uhh! Aah!" she screams as grace shoots her, the bullet entering where her vest wasn't covering her body. evelyn collapses to the ground, beginning to spit up blood. everett laughs, him and grace getting into a van and speeding away.

"evelyn, what's your location? evelyn, do you copy? evelyn?" spencer says, running into the garage as soon as he realized something had happened. "It's ok. It's ok. I got you. You're gonna be ok. Just stay with me, ok? Stay with me and keep breathing. evelyn's down. She's been hit. We need an ambulance now." spencer says, obviously distressed.

"Crash cart's in 5. I'll move it over." "Spike a one-liter bag." "Airway's unstable. Check for arterial bleeds. Gunshot wound to the upper torso. Bullet entered under left arm. No exit wound. Pulse is thready, breathing shallow." "Need her for transfer." "Stats are dropping." "High flow o2. 15 liters." "she's crashing." "Clear." "I got a heartbeat. Are you her husband?" N-no, i mean yeah" "okay good." the nurse says, taking her into surgery.

"agent johnson is out of surgery" "Is she ok?" "She lost a lot of blood, but she's currently stable." "Is she gonna be all right?" "We won't be able to assess whether or not she sustained any neurological damage until she regains consciousness." "Could she hear me if I talk to her?" "It's unlikely." the nurse says before walking out. "I keep going over it in my head, and I don't know how I didn't realize you were missing sooner. I'm so sorry. I know things between the two of us have been kind of weird lately... Ever since jj said she loves me. she said it and I heard it, and the thing is, I just... I... I don't know what to do with that. I mean, I know why she said it. I just don't know... Maybe she meant it. And if she did, what does that mean? When you didn't bring it up after the wedding, I... I didn't either 'cause I just... I didn't know how to talk to you about it, so instead I just stopped talking to you. And that is not what I meant to happen. and i'm sorry i let it get in the way of our relationship. it shouldnt have happened. i guess i was scared you'd leave me. And now, all the sudden, none of that matters. All that matters is that..." spencer sniffles as he begins to cry. "Is that you wake up and that I get to have more time with you. Ah, I guess... I can't imagine my life without you in it. Please don't leave me." spencer cries.

"I should have found you sooner." spencer says as soon as he saw she was awake. "Spence. You saved my life. Again. I'm glad you're here." "You're my best friend. Where else would I be? I should go and let you get some rest." "No. No, not yet." she sighs. "I've missed you. i know we basically live together, but you just stopped talking to me." "Me, too. It's my fault that things have been weird between the two of us. What jj said, we need to talk about." No, we don't spence, and I shouldn't have let it drive a wedge between us. she needed to say something real, and that's what came out." "You're such a big... Big piece of my heart, and you always will be. I just want you to know that I never meant to hurt you. I just want you to be happy. And I want us to be ok." spencer says (yes i know jj says it in the show but it makes more sense for spencer to say it in this case.) "I know you do. And we are. i love you spencer, nothing is going to change that." evelyn says, grabbing his hand. "mommy!" grayson says, walking in with evelyn's mom and grace. "hi baby." evelyn smiles as grayson climbs up on the bed. "careful gray, mommy just had surgery." spencer says, his protective side kicking in, supporting grayson as he climbed up. "what's wrong mommy?" grayson asked. "nothing sweetie, mommy's okay." evelyn responded, spencer taking grace from evelyn's mom. "i'll give you guys some alone time." her mom said before walking out. grayson crawled on to evelyn's stomach, evelyn wincing as he did. "grayson what did i just say?" spencer scolds him, taking him off of evelyn. "you are such a dad." evelyn laughs. "oh ouch that hurt." she winces. "well i don't want him to hurt you." spencer says simply. suddenly his phone rings. "it's my mom's care facility." he says. getting up and putting grayson in the chair he was sitting in. "stay." he said before walking out, taking grace with him. "i'm not a dog." grayson pouts. "hey. don't sass him." evelyn sternly says. "knowing you, you'd be bouncing off the walls." evelyn says. "everything okay?" she asks when spencer comes back in. "I'm not sure. My mom's not doing so great. The last time I saw her she didn't even recognize me. Now they're saying I need to go down there and see her as soon as possible." he explains. "Go." "and leave you?" "i'm out of the woods. your mom is so much more important than me. i'll be okay. go." evelyn shoos him away, spencer giving her a quick kiss before leaving, handing grace to her mom who was now walking in. "i still can't believe after all these years, my little evey scored the man of her dreams." evelyn's mom gushes. "and now you two have two beautiful babies." she continues. "mooommmm" evelyn says, blushing softly. "so when's the wedding?" her mom asks. "we haven't settled on a date yet. but it's soon." "soon as in this century orrrr" her mom teases. "soon as in this year."
