a/n: this takes place end of season 13

"good morning caterpillar." spencer says cheerfully as he walked into the bedroom with a tray full of food, a lot cheerier than usual. evelyn rolls over to face him, raising an eyebrow. "why are you so happy?" she says as if happiness was disgusting. "because i want to spoil you today." spencer says cheerfully as evelyn sat up. "whyyyy?" she asks, raising an eyebrow. "am i not allowed to spoil my girlfriend without a specific reason?" he asks, setting the tray down and sitting on the bed. "did you poison this?" she asks suspiciously. spencer laughs. "why would i poison it?" he asked through a chuckle. "i dunno." evelyn shrugged. "maybe you finally got tired of me." she continues. "i could never get tired of you." spencer says, kissing her softly. she smiles and kisses back, combing her hands through his hair. "that's sweet. but really, why are you doing all of this?" she asks. "because i want to. now eat up and get dressed." spencer exclaims, getting up and walking out. evelyn ate the food and got ready, going downstairs once she was ready. "you never said what to wear so i hope this is okay." she said, looking at her outfit and then spencer. "it's perfect." spencer smiles, wrapping his arms around her waist. "where are the kids?" evelyn asked, suddenly noticing how quiet the house was. "with jj." he stated simply. "you're up to something, i just know it." she exclaims, raising an eyebrow. spencer laughs, walking to get the car keys. once he did he grabbed her hand, leading her to the car. spencer took her to all their favorite spots, and some of just her favorite spots. by now the sun was beginning to set, the end of a wonderful day. "i had fun. thank you." evelyn said as spencer held the car door open for her. she got in and spencer closed it, getting in on the drivers side. "well..." he said, pulling out a blindfold. "the day's not over yet." he smiles. "kinky." evelyn says, spencer's smile dropping, looking between her and the blindfold,. obviously flustered. "no-i-um-i didn't- not that i wouldn't- i mean- no." he stammered, evelyn laughing. "i know that's not what you meant, spence." she laughs, putting a hand on his knee. "can i?" spencer asks carefully. evelyn nods, spencer carefully tying the blindfold around her eyes. once it was secure he put his seatbelt on, helping evelyn with hers since they didn't think about doing it the other way around. he drove for about 10 minutes before parking the car and unbuckling. "can i take this off yet?" evelyn groaned. "not yet." spencer laughs, getting out and going around to her side. he unbuckled her seatbelt and helped her out, leading her to their destination. "okay you can take it off." spencer says once they were in some type of tent on the beach. evelyn carefully took it off, not wanting to mess up her makeup revealing a recreation of the time spencer asked evelyn to be his girlfriend. except this time, there was nothing written on the pizza box. "spencerrrr, this is way too fancy, what do you have planned." evelyn says, looking at spencer who had a cheeky grin on his face. "nothingggg, just come sit." he says, taking off his shoes and laying down on the blanket. evelyn took off her shoes as well and lays next to spencer. he smiles as he looks at her, evelyn smiling back. "what you smiling at?" she asks as if she was tough. "you." spencer says softly. "i'm incredibly lucky to have you. and i'm glad you're mine." spencer smiles. evelyn smiles back, kissing him softly. "we'll get used to it, cuz you're stuck with me for the rest of your life." evelyn says. "i'm okay with that, as long as you agree to marry me." spencer says. "well when that time comes, it'll seal the deal then." evelyn says, completely oblivious to what he was implying. spencer gets up and goes over to a back that was in the corner of the tent and grabs something out of it, evelyn watching him. "i mean now." spencer says simply, revealing a ring box as he got down on one knee. "wait what, now?" evelyn exclaims, quickly getting up and staring at him. "i know we've gone through some hard times recently and we're still working through that, but i know i'm going to spend the rest of my life with you. what's holding us back? we've already have two kids, we spend pretty much every single minute of every single day together, we're madly in love. there's nothing we have to lose." spencer says. "so evelyn nicole johnson, will you marry me?" spencer asks. although she knew it would eventually happen, she for some reason didn't realize it'd be today. "god spencer if i knew this was gonna happen i would've dressed cuter." evelyn whines. "but yes, i will marry you." she smiles, spencer smiling and sliding the ring on her finger, getting up and kissing her passionately. i think you look amazing regardless of what you're wearing." he said once they pulled away. evelyn smiles and ruffles his hair, laughing softly. "now we're even" she smiles.
