They shared a warm smile through the security glass once they both took seats on either side of it. A single tear slid down Y/n's face, wiping it before looking away from him with a broken smile and a chuckle of embarrassment.
"Come on, Y/n. You should be used to this by now."
"I know, Kenny. I'm sorry. You know I wish I could've done something. If I just had worked harder..."
"Hey, look at me." He demanded her attention when she was about to cry, even more, covering her face with both hands. His smile was gentle as ever, looking at her and placing his hand against the crystal wall. "Stop punishing yourself. I got here on my own. It was my decision and I don't regret it."
Sniffing, she composed her face and tried to smile back when her hand found its way against his, with only the crystal separating them. "I wish you could hold me in your arms again."
If she kept talking like that, Draken would lose his cool and break down in tears like her. "Enough of that. Tell me what's new."
Clearing her voice she used the minutes left to forget about the past and talk to her bald friend about the things she'd done this month.
"Another Ph. D.? Geez, you never stop impressing me." His big smile made his eyes close with joy.
"I need to keep my mind busy in some way to forget about all the bullshit." She let out a heavy sigh and slipped into her seat.
"Have you talked to him?"
"He calls me only when he fucks it up and needs me to erase his tracks. I don't ask questions, and honestly, I don't want to know what he's up to."
Draken leaned to the front with his elbows resting over his thigs and his hands covering his face in exasperation, clearly worried. "I hope that midget is okay."
"Time's up!" The officer announced when the alarm sounded.
"Please take care, Y/n. I love you." The bald dismissed himself standing up and disappearing through the door.
It took her a few seconds to recover before getting to the prison's parking lot where a slender man was waiting for her.
"You took your time to meet your boyfi." Hanma opened the passenger seat door for her and leaned over the frame with crossed arms and his smug smile, watching her approach and throwing his cigarette.
"Don't be jealous, Shuji." The woman was on the other side of the door facing him, equaling his expression. "You're the only one I keep safe over and over." She took his chin and lowered his face into hers to place a little peck on his lips.
He crept a smile when she freed his chin and got inside. "Hm. Still, you deserve punishment for making me wait, sweetheart."

'Fuck this, fuck that, fuck all.'
Of course, another hell of a week in the disastrous life of Y/n.
From overnight Kirito was transferred, and the project that was supposed to be done by the two classmates was left to her. Doing the algorithm on her own was harder than she expected, but she was willing to do it because it was the only way to keep her mind off all Toman-related issues.
Currently, at the cafeteria, she was sitting over a bar-like table with loads of sheets and notes spread, typing on the borrowed laptop from school. Her knitted brows showed how irritated the teen was that she couldn't make it work. Every time she thought she finally had it, she failed, forcing her to erase all the code and start over.
