They spent a long time talking without faking to have a good time over the car's hood. Y/n was careful when talking about Takemichi with Izana, trying not to catch his attention more toward him, but it was impossible with his curiosity.

"Like a hero?" He snickered, bumping their shoulders playfully. "Seems like I'll have to meet him."

"I guess you'll see him tomorrow." The girl fell silent, playing with her hands on her lap and intently watching the stars.

The bleach-haired boy noticed her detachment and lay, giving her a moment. He waited a bit before yanking the dinosaur hood and bringing the girl to lie next to him.

"Look, a falling star."

"That is an airplane, silly." She laughed at Izana, and in revenge for making fun of him, the guy attacked her in a tight embrace and buried his face in the crook of her neck. "I can't breathe!"

"Let's stay like this for a little while." He refused to let her go, allowing her to fit her body better against his. "With you, I don't feel so alone, knowing you understand me."

Inside the building, the big guys were having a blast drinking and chatting. They shut up, watching their leader coming so cheerful, getting along with the girl.

Y/n felt embarrassed after the awful show she gave and what it seems like critical stares at her, but Izana spoke before the moment became more uncomfortable for her.

He placed behind her, hugging her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder. "Who's going to be the one to tell her the Queen's task for tomorrow?"

Kisaki and Hanma had left a couple of hours ago without saying a thing. No longer after, Izana did the same.

Before every fight, he used to meet with Shinichiro, so he went off to visit his grave. He opposed taking Y/n along with the justification anyone could see her, so she had to stay under Kakucho's supervision.

"You could have told me you were the mysterious donor of the Foundation, miss."

"What would be the point? It is supposed to be a selfless act. I wasn't looking for recognition."

"Still, thank you. I have never seen the kids that happy, and it was because of you."

Until some point, the gentle boy distracted Y/n enough from the odd demeanor of the other heavenly kings, but it became nearly alarming.

"I don't want to have more trouble with Izana. Please, you have to eat."

"If I have one more bite, I'm afraid I might throw up, Kaku." Y/n left the bowl on the table and turned serious at him. "Besides, your nerves make me anxious. Do you all know something I don't?"

The girl wandered the room with her eyes, and every guy looked away, confirming her they were hiding something. Kakucho brought her attention before she could keep suspecting them.

"I hadn't had the chance to tell you how sorry I am for what happened to you. Since Kisaki showed up, Izana doesn't think by himself anymore."

"Yeah, Izana confessed that he's okay with being used. Can you believe it?" The girl sighed in exasperation. "The one I used to know would have left me to get hit by the bus or left me to die in that abandoned motel."

"No, no. Izana is not a bad guy. All his currents bad decisions are because of Kisaki's manipulation." Her young volunteer partner defended his boss.

"I don't have doubt you love him like a brother, but your adorable Izana has threatened me with killing me in the past."
