"I can't believe the number of assignments."

"Ugh, I know, it's annoying." The girls walking along with Y/n were complaining as they made their way to the metro station. "How do you manage to do all, attend your clubs and be on the school rep group?"

"I follow my schedules." The girl nonchalantly confessed.

"You make it sounds easy." The first girl grimaced rolling her eyes before spotting an out-of-place scene over a near alley they were passing. "Girls, look."

"Isn't that the guy who has got in trouble for stealing?" The three stopped, analyzing what was happening from the distance.

Their classmate was having a conflict with another guy, he had the stranger cornered against the wall, and seemed that the conflict was growing up as he rose his voice.

"We need to stop him. If anyone around makes a report on him, he will get expelled." Her two companions remained quiet with wide eyes thinking if she was serious.

When he was about to take something out of his pocket, Y/n involuntary raced at the place before he could make something he might regret, placing herself between both with spread arms, protecting the unknown teenager.

The pocket blade met the floor after making a tiny cut on her cheek when he attempted to attack the guy. The girl knew something like that was coming, she was prepared for anything so she didn't flinch even though it stung at the moment. "Tch."

Tori's face was terrified by what he had done and fell to his knees, mumbling unsense things to himself. The two girls and the boy behind her were horrified.

Y/n crouched and started to reassure the crying boy. "Tori, I know your family situation is hard right now, but imagine how disappointed they will get if they know you've been trying to steal." The boy kept apologizing for another minute until he calmed down. "Go to this place, they will give you a part-time job so you can help your family. Promise me you won't do this again."

Tori nodded, gulping the fluids on his throat and sparkling eyes when he took the information card from her. Once stood up, he made a reverence in apology and gratitude at both in the alley and fled passing beside the two other girls that were waiting for their friend.

"That was pretty kind and cool. I don't know if he deserved it, though." The stranger appointed, looking at the boy running away.

"You're right, you don't know. His family is been struggling with money. He's a good kid, only needed aid to sort out things." She sighed and crouched again to pick up the things she dropped by arriving in a rush.

He quickly did the same gathering his things from the floor and once they had everything packed, they stood finally facing each other.

The boy was left speechless, he already admired her braveness but looking at her in the eyes made his heart skip a beat. Feeling the blood on his cheeks he had to look away nervous.

The girl analyzed his demeanor with a suspicious gaze. "You seem a tough guy, why didn't you defend yourself?"

He felt his throat go dry when tried to answer. "Me? I... I knew he wouldn't attack. He... he was trembling and... and I saw the fear on his face. He wasn't like... like others thugs I've fought." Slapping his face in his mind by stuttering so much, he turned his face away again.

"So you're telling me that my effort wasn't worth it?" She dramatized in a joking way. "And then I thought I was saving you."

He felt the weird feeling to please her. "Of course you did! Thank you so much!" He lightly bowed before recalling that she had been cut and panicked. "Are you okay?"
