Taiju was unstoppable, full of rage and vengeance. All the underlings they had brought were inside the place to fight him.

Y/n heard a shot near as she exited. She sprinted, doubling the corner and hearing a second gunshot. It was late to save the two nosy men.

Kakucho lowered his hand with the weapon and stepped aside as Izana praised him. The younger guy caught the woman coming but said nothing, getting her sign to keep hush.

The boss was already walking back into the alley without noticing her silent arrival, while Kisaki was too busy watching the men die.

"Well, that's disappointing," the devil man let out, feeling the metal against his temple and hearing the unlocking sound.

"Any last words?"

"Fuck you."

"You wish, buddy. See you in hell."

Kisaki instantly fell, making a bloody mess on the sidewalk. Y/n expected to feel at least relieved, but it wasn't the case. She had become another hollow and frivolous person like those she swore one day to destroy.

The woman stood still, seeing how the red fluid covered the ground and feeling nothing. Kakucho was in shock, not expecting her to be the one killing him.

"Can you hold Izana up, please? I need a minute." The said man was running back after hearing the bang and seeing her. She turned to walk between the first two wounded and kneeled.

"Y/n..."

"Takemichi, don't waste your last words with me. I don't deserve them after all." She noticed how they had tried to reach each other hand but were too weak and finished halfway there.

"I always knew it was weird how frantic you could be. You were always in the right place and said the right thing at the right moment. It was like you knew more than you should. Like you knew how it would end. Also, as suddenly as you came, you disappeared. Everyone started to wonder where the crybaby had gone, even me. I thought it would be you who would rescue me."

"Hina once said something curious, and now, you're here with those eyes again. I think I finally get it." She took Naoto's hand and rubbed his knuckles to keep him awake.

The woman heard Izana argue with Kakucho at her back, acknowledging she had little time left. Taking Takemichi's hand in a rush, she felt his warmth turning cold, and his pulse was light.

"It's like I'm living in my endless nightmares. The last one left in the darkness. If you see them, can you tell them how much I love them all? They were my light."

"I'll make sure you tell them yourself."

The desperate male made it to Y/n, embracing her neck. The motion ended the gap between the men's hands, letting them start the leap.

"Why didn't you tell me you were alive?" Izana deepened his face in the crook of her neck, bringing her back to rest against him. "I thought I had lost you."

At this point, what had happened between them or if he had cheated on her didn't matter. Y/n let him hold her as she observed life leaving the eyes of the guys in front of her.

When the woman shot the innocent guard, she couldn't feel sorrow, only the hurry to escape. Sniper and Kisaki didn't deserve anything but hate and got nothing. Seeing Takemichi and Naoto die finally released the pity in her heart.

Y/n got to feel the whole world was crushing her, letting out tears of guilt and sadness. The woman fit her body in the man's hug, remembering what she did sway by revenge.

"It's my fault everyone is dead, my friends, Kei, the guard man at the apartment, Sniper, Kisaki."

"No, it's not. Shh." He rocked her body to comfort her while he enjoyed her presence.
