"Wake up, sleepyheads."
"Five more minutes, Niko. I'm too tired." Y/n drowsily mumbled, holding tighter the human pillow next to her.
The one hugging her waist and using her breast as cushions responded the same way, not wanting to let go of her.
"Who's Niko? Come on. It's almost midday." The guy said, drawing the curtains to let the sun enter the living room. "Mikey! Get up."
The first question and the mentioned name made a loud sound in her head, reminding her she wasn't at the hospital anymore. She opened her eyes, slowly adjusting to the light.
"My whole body hurts." She turned around to hide her face having a sudden sting headache. Mikey sat, massaging his eyes and yawning.
"I'll take care of her. Get ready for the meeting, good boy." The older brother told before the black-haired one left with dragging feet to his room and took his place, sitting on the couch edge. "That's called hangover and maybe the fact you slept on a couch."
"Can I be honest with you?" Y/n turned around, allowing herself to look directly at him. "I pretended to be happy at first."
"You're kidding, right?" The bleached-haired one started thinking, but when the girl kept her serious expression, the panic hit him, contracting his pupils and feeling cold sweat. "Do you want to leave? I won't allow it. You're supposed to be the queen."
"Where else would I go? I decided to stay for Mikey's sake. The thing is that I knew Kisaki wanted me as a pawn to do the work, and for you, I'm just a tool to show the others your dominance."
"Wait, you're not a tool. I wanted you back because I like you. I thought we understood each other back then."
"I was helpless and broken. That girl was just a part of me. You probably won't like my whole self. Also, I didn't get to know every part of you. I have my doubts if we will be able to get along."
"Don't say that. We'll get through this."
"I'm not worthy of wearing this." Y/n unchained the beautiful necklace from last night, placing it into his hand.
The young perfectionist man was so deep in thought. Would it be worth trying to show her and the rest he could win her heart fairly and honestly? If he succeeded, he would be the true king.
"We have time to get to know each other. I know you'll find I'm the king you have been looking for, and you, the queen I have been waiting for."
They sealed a pact. Y/n was just a simple annoying young woman they recruited to work for them, and he, the insufferable boss, both being their true selves.
Y/n followed the brothers to the dead silent meeting room full of men holding their hangovers.
Feeling refreshed after a cold shower and wearing a comfortable sweater, leggings, and slippers, she made a coffee at the appetizers counter while humming a song.
"Someone is in a good mood."
"It's my first day at work. Why wouldn't I?"
"You're very optimistic. Come, I have something for you, hon." The girl followed Koko to the long table, taking a plate full of cookies for both. "All of your bills for the apartment and taxes stuff. These are your bank accounts and your credit card. I kept them up to date in your absence. I have already taken my payment as your accountant. Now, you can go and buy fitting attire for a queen. You look like a tomboy."
"Wow, ruthless. Besides, I'm not the queen anymore. Right, Izana?" Y/n said the last part in a high tone so everyone could hear.
The boss rolled his eyes when the men turned their attention to him. "Right."
