∞ III: Bodyguard

The atmosphere at the cafeteria table was thick, the newest piece of information about a gang who attacked in a horrible way the family and girlfriend from a friend of one of the founder members of the gang was unforgivable. She was about to cry telling his friends about the aggression.

"Pah is on the edge. I'm sure he will ask for the gang's help."

"As a woman, I can't imagine the horror that girl went through." The tears fall from her eyes by the anger, knowing what the aforementioned girl had to live. "She's in a coma, for God's sake. These Moebius guys are disgusting."

"They won't get away with this." Her friend who was sitting beside her passed his arm above her shoulder approaching her to his body, stroking her hair to ease her. "Not under Toman's watch. We made this gang in order to protect us and the ones we care." Mitsuya tightened the embrace, passed her a napkin to wipe her tears, and looked at the leader waiting for his decision.

Mikey didn't have his usual friendly face when he's eating, instead, he wore a stoic one. "Assemble the gang tonight. We need everyone's opinion."

Her friends were concerned by her safety and decided she needed to stick up with someone at all times. Everyone volunteered but in the end, Baji was the one who got the place as her personal bodyguard. Mikey and Draken would protect Emma, while Mitsuya has to babysit her sisters anyway.

Y/n was walking in silence to the Musashi temple after arriving with her new bodyguard who didn't let her go home until he could give her a ride.

"I know that face, stop it." He looked at her with the corner of the eye as they stepped up the stairs for the temple.

"I can't help it." She felt the disapproval gaze from her friend. "I know you all told me not to search for information, but..."

"But nothing. They can be dangerous."

"Tch." She crossed her arms avoiding looking at him when they got to a wood railing outside the temple and sat there in silence waiting for the gang to arrive.

"I don't want anything to happen to you." After a long, he said softly while taking her hand, both were looking at the starry night.

She intertwined her fingers with his and squeezed lightly his hand at the same time she leaned into his body. "Lucky me, I have one of the best fighters to protect me."

The stars were reflecting in her pupils when he turned to face her taking his breath away like every time he have her near. Bearing his fangs, he smiled at her squeezing her hand too in agreement.

The engines approached the place and he had to leave her side and went with his division before the president, and the vice president arrived with their new 'friend' making the people bow to them until reaching the top step.

As expected, by now everyone knew about the incident but Takemichi. As Mitsuya was explaining the situation, Pah came and without warning kicked him on the back followed by Peyan scaring the poor boy on the floor.

This made her stand up from the railing and run to them. Mitsuya was already trying to ease Pah. "If you don't understand stay out of it, idiot."

"Oi Pah, shut up." Draken, who was paying attention to the meeting, turned his face annoyed by the disturbance.

'That girl again.' Takemichi thought with confusion watching her easing the aggressive one.

"Pah, take it easy." Y/n arrived and drag the angry boy to the side. "Taking it out on him won't fix anything." She placed a hand over his arm and the other used it to cup his face. "Look at me. I know how are you feeling, but save that rage for the real enemy. Got it?"
