3rd person's pov
It's been about a week since Eun-Jae met Jin and Namjoon and officially adopted them and it seemed that she was right about Taehyung. He seemed to be getting along very well with Namjoon and Jin, which made her happy. In that week, they also met Suho, Sehun and Baekhyun. At first everything was alright, until Baekhyun started scenting Jae in front of them. The boys did not like that one bit. Hoseok was also very welcoming to the two, but was always somehow arguing with Namjoon over toys. Jin got along with everyone mostly, including Yoongi and Jimin. Jae rolled over in bed, as her alarm went off. Jae felt sick to her stomach, she had a horrible headache and she was cold despite being underneath a huge, thick blanket which Jin had given her the night before. Jae let out a loud groan, reaching for her phone which had the alarm on it. Finally reaching it, she texted Sehun to tell the professor that she would be out today. They had the same classes today, so he was her homeroom buddy. She rolled back over, bundling herself in the covers as she started coughing. Jae heard a knock on her door, before it was opened. "Pup, you have classes today, right?" She let out a small groan, curling into a ball. She heard light footsteps come towards the bed, before a cool hand was placed on her forehead. He let out a silent gasp as soon as he touched her burning skin. "Oh my god, you're burning up, Pup!" Hoseok cried out, he couldn't believe how hot she felt. He then mentally cursed at himself for not sleeping in her room last night, he thought that if he had, he could have prevented her from getting so bad. "Pup, I'll be right back! I promise." He ran out of the room, as she only nodded and curled further into a ball. Hoseok quickly ran downstairs, towards the kitchen where Jin was cooking breakfast at the moment. Jin was always up pretty early since Jae had to go to school and work, so he always made breakfast for the entire household. He even made Jae's lunches, so that she didn't have to worry about spending money for lunch at school. "Hyung!" Hoseok cried out, turning Jin's attention away from the food on the stove over to him. "Hoseok, what's the matter? Why do you smell sick?" Jin cocked his head to the side, sniffing the air in the kitchen. "I'm not the one that's sick." Hoseok shook his head, as he looked Jin in the eyes. "Whose sick?" Namjoon asked, walking into the kitchen with a glass in his hand.
"Jae."
Both boys looked to Hoseok, confused but when they realized the smell coming from upstairs, they knew. "She is sick. Hoseok, keep watching over this. I'll take care of her." Jin said, Hoseok nodding at Jin as he rushed away. Thanks to his previous owner, he had knowledge on taking care of a sick human girl. Jin quickly searched her bathroom finding cold medicine, he gathered a bowl and filled it with cold water and grabbed a rag. With that, he headed upstairs into Jae's room where his sense of smell was slammed with her thick scent of sickness. He placed the bowl on the side table, dipping the rag in it and turned to Jae. "Jae," She let out a mumble, her eyes barely able to stay open. "Jae, I need to take your temperature. Open." Jae opened her mouth, as Jin slid the thermometer into her mouth and put it under her tongue. She closed her mouth, feeling like a small child as she was reminded of her mother doing the same thing. She breathed slowly, as the thermometer beeped. Jin pulled it out of her mouth, holding it out to the light. "You have a fever of 100.3. You aren't going anywhere today, so I'll call out for you regarding work." Jin sighed, placing the thermometer on the side table. He then grabbed the pills, which he had found that could help bring down her temperature and help her feel better. "Jae, sweetheart, please take this." Jae mumbled something incoherent, as Namjoon walked into the room with a glass of water. "Come on, Jae. You have to take this, it'll help you feel better." Jin coaxed, Jae shifted in bed as she finally opened her eyes. The side bedroom lamp had been turned on, Jae was now able to see Jin and Namjoon standing in front of her. "Hey," Jin said softly, "Here." Namjoon slid on the other side of the bed, helping Jae sit up. She took the pills from Jin, chucking them into her mouth as Namjoon handed her a glass of water. With one big gulp, she downed the pills and tried to relax. Namjoon helped Jae lay back in bed, as Jin picked up the rag which was ice cold and squeezed it out, he folded it and placed it over Jae's upper part of her face. Partially covering her eyes and her forehead, "Just relax Jae. We'll take care of anything that needs to be done today, so just relax and get some rest. I'll bring up some soup in a bit. Yeah?" Jae only nodded, unable to talk since her throat felt sore. With that Namjoon and Jin left her room, closing the door softly as they headed back downstairs. Hoseok, who was still in the kitchen had finished cooking the breakfast that Jin had made.
