Eun-Jae's pov
I sighed heavily, watching the rain fall heavily outside of the car window. My music was playing a nice slow song, which matched my current mood. I continued staring out of the window, not bothering to remove my earbuds as I watched everything going on outside. I felt my shoulder being tapped, so I took one earbud out and turned my head to the left. There to my left sat my cousin, he heavily sighed as he realized I was in no mood to talk. Not after what I was now dealing with, which was the fact that I was now going to live with my father's oldest brother. I would rather be living with my brother's but none of them are in the country right now. Even my older brother's hated Uncle Dae-sung for how he treated Hybrids, they hated his company too. I absolutely hated my uncle, the reason being that he treated Dad like shit for so many years and he treated hybrids like they weren't people. He was in charge of a large company which was known around the world, it was famous. But famous for the wrong reasons. It was another reason as to why I absolutely hated him, this company that he owned was something like a huge bounty hunter place. They hunted wild Hybrids for a living, which pissed me off to no end. It was completely opposite of what my parents did. I believed in equal rights for hybrids, hell, I don't even care if they are hybrids. I treat hybrids as if they were people. People who were just born different from us, people who had feelings, dreams and everything that qualified as someone as being a living, breathing person. My Uncle however didn't respect my opinions so we often ended up arguing over the matter, which made things difficult for our family.
"What do you want, Han?"
"I know you're angry that you have to come live with us. But please, for my sake.. Try to get along with my father. I know that it's hard because he is a bit of an asshole, but for my sake and Harley will you please try?" He pleaded, looking me in the eyes. "Fine, I'll try.. But no promises." I said, making him smile lightly at me. I plugged my earbud back in, getting lost in my music. I took one long lasting look at the house that I had grown up in, I can't believe I have to leave this place. After watching the car pull away from the house, I was lulled to sleep by my music. I was lightly shaken awake, making me groan. I felt my ear buds being pulled out, "Jae, wake up. We're here." I opened my eyes, staring at my cousin sleepily which got him to chuckle lightly. "Come on, we're here." I nodded, putting my earbuds in its case as I paused my music. I grabbed my small bag, opening the car door and stepped out. When I looked up, I noticed that we were standing in front of a large mansion. "Whoa.." I said in amazement, I couldn't believe how big this was. At the same time, it bothered me that he lives in such a nice place when he does horrible things for a living. I noticed that the mansion was surrounded by greenery.
"I know what you're thinking." Han said, waving his finger at me with a smile on his face. "And what would that be?" I asked, crossing my arms as I looked at him. He walked over to me as the car pulled away, "That this place is too nice for your dear cousin to live in." He said, making me chuckle. "You were wrong, but I can live with that answer." I smiled, walking away from him. The two of us walked inside the mansion, Han leading the way. "Eun-Jae!!!" I heard my name being called, I turned my head and smiled when I saw who was coming down the stairs. Two of my favorite people in my entire family, both of them wearing a large smile on their face. "Oh my god!! Felix!!!! Hyunjin!!!" The two boys embraced me in a large tight hug, the three of us happy to see one another.
"We heard the news.." Felix said, scratching the back of his neck. His short blonde hair swayed a bit, as he ran his fingers through it.
"Yeah.. We're sorry that you lost them both, I know that you are probably so upset. And it's worse since all of your brother's are not even in the country at the moment." Hyunjin placed a hand on my shoulder, as he pulled back from the hug. Felix wrapped me in another hug, giving me a light squeeze as he rubbed my back. "Thank you." I smiled, pulling back from their embrace after a few minutes. "Why did father send you here?" Hyunjin asked, furrowing his eyebrow. "He's going to be setting up a place for Eun-jae to stay. Coincidentally, Uncle Taek left our little Eun-jae in Dad's care if something happened to them both." Han squeezed my cheeks, making me swat his hand away as he let out a laugh. "Aish. Stop treating me like I'm twelve! I'm not twelve anymore!! I'm 18 years old!" I complained, but he only nodded and continued pinching my cheeks. With him doing this, both Hyunjin and Felix decided to join in with the teasing which made me annoyed. Aish, these three. Why? Why must they always do this to me?
