3rd person's pov

Things grew silent as the young man standing in front of the counter and Eun-jae shared eye contact, her grip on Hoseok's shirt had only gotten tighter. Sensing the tension, Baekhyun could tell that there was a past between the two. Just as Bangchan was about to say something, Jin-young and Jackson had walked into the cafe. Jackson's eyes lit up when he saw Jae standing with Hoseok near the counter, "Jae!" Jackson smiled, Jae's eyes shifted from Bangchan to Jackson. Seeing the look in her eyes, both Jin-young and Jackson's smile faded as they finally noticed the tension in the cafe. "What's going on? Why is she so upset?" Jin-young looked at Hoseok, who then looked at Bangchan. Jackson sniffed the air and caught onto Bangchan's smell, he looked over at Bangchan and started growling as soon as they locked eyes. Jin-young looked over, a frown replacing his look of concern as he looked at Bangchan. "Jin-young hyung.. Jackson hyung.." Bangchan started, "You bastard!" Jackson's outburst startled everyone in the cafe, he launched himself at Bangchan and slammed him against the counter. "Jackson, no." Jin-young moved quickly, trying to pull Jackson off of him. Baekhyun and Chanyeol rushed out of their seats, trying to help Jin-young grab Jackson. The husky hybrid was strong and he wasn't too happy with the idea of Bangchan showing up. "I thought I told you to never show your face around Eun-Jae or there was going to be hell to pay." Jackson sneered, "Jackson, you can't do this right now!" Jin-young panicked, he was having a hard time trying to get Jackson to back down. Jae watched in shock, tears forming as she saw the animosity Jackson held for Bangchan. Jackson used to adore Bangchan, they actually got along very well. But when Bangchan left, he not only hurt Jae, he hurt Jackson too.

"Hyung, please. I didn't know she was going to be here, I promise." Bangchan pleaded, "I don't care if you didn't know. You think you can just waltz back into her life after what you did?! Well, news flash, you can't!! She has seven soulmates that love and cherish her when you didn't." Jackson sneered, Jin-young pulled at Jackson with all his strength and still couldn't get the hybrid off. Hoseok watched in absolute horror, he had never Jackson so angry before and if looks could kill, Bangchan would be six feet under. This made him think about the break-up Jae once told him about, which made him curious about this young man. He made a mental note to text Jin-young later to ask who this was.

"Jackson, please. Let him go." Jae spoke up, Jackson stopped what he was doing and looked at Jae, his heart breaking when he saw her tears.

"Eun-Jae... I.."

"Come on, Hobi." Eun-jae spoke softly, Hoseok could feel the tension building between Jae and Bangchan, so he gently grabbed her hand and led her out of the cafe. When they got to the car, Jae let out a heavy sigh as tears formed in her eyes. "Jae, are you okay?" She shook her head, signaling to him that she didn't want to talk about it. "Can we just go home? I don't want to talk about it or even think about it." She said softly, Hoseok nodded and leaned over. He placed a hand on her face, wiping the stray tears. "I'll let the boys know not to bother you for a while when we get home. You just shower and relax, okay?" Hoseok spoke softly, Jae nodded as she looked at him. "Thank you," She whispered, Hoseok could feel the anguish running through the bond coming from Jae. No doubt the others were feeling the same anguish that she was feeling. Hoseok started the car, ignoring the call from Jimin and drove them home.

Inside the cafe, Jackson stared at Bangchan with evil eyes. Silence had fallen over the group, none of them sure whether Jackson was going to snap again and possibly start a fight with Bangchan. "Why are you here? Did you move here?" Jin-young spoke, breaking the silence between the group. "I.. I did. I had to move back because my grandmother's health is not good, so my mother and I came back to take care of her. I found out from a mutual friend of ours that Jae was working at this cafe... I guess you could say that I wanted to come see her.." Bangchan explained, "Why? So you could win her heart again?" Jackson snapped, "...I..." Bangchan didn't know how to answer that question, he fell silent as Baekhyun and Sehun looked at him with confusion. That's when it hit them that Jae and Bangchan used to date, "Well, news flash, Bangchan. You can't ever win her heart back. You lost that chance when you left her without a word to go travel across the world. And you won't have another chance not because of us, but because Jae has seven soulmates. She's not available." Jin-young explained, Bangchan looked up in shock.

"Soulmates? Seven?.."

"Yes, seven. The young man Hoseok, who was standing beside her when they were here is one of them. I have a feeling that they won't be too happy to hear about how you broke her heart. So take my word for it," Suho handed Jin-young a box of pastries and some drinks. "Don't come around the cafe often. Unless you want problems with her soulmates, they aren't bad people but they are extremely protective of Jae. I may not like you very much because of how you broke Jae's heart, but that doesn't mean I don't care about your wellbeing. I don't agree with how you ended your relationship with my best friend but I don't wish any harm to you. I wish your grandmother the best and I hope she gets well soon." Jin-young said, "Come on, Jackson. Let's go." He handed Jackson the drinks, who reluctantly took it and growled at Bangchan before leaving the cafe with Jin-young in tow. Bangchan took a moment to process the news that Jae had soulmates, he looked down at his hands feeling stupid.

"I'm sorry that I caused problems here. I'm sure that's the last thing you need." Bangchan apologized, looking up at Chanyeol and Suho.

"You didn't. Don't worry about it." With his order in his hands, Bangchan left the cafe without another word and his heart heavy.

".... Should we tell Xiumin that he showed up?" Sehun asked, "I don't know... Maybe we should hold off. Let things die down. I'll text Hoseok later and see how Jae's doing. For right now, we should get ready for the evening rush." Baekhyun stated.

"Yeah." Chanyeol agreed.
