3rd person's pov

When Hoseok and Jae got home, Jimin was the first one to greet them at the door. He was going to tackle her like he usually did but he stopped when he saw how upset Jae looked. He was about to ask but Hoseok shook his head, "Hey, you're home. I thought I heard the front door." Yoongi stopped talking when he saw the look on Jae's face, she wiped away the stray tears and took off her shoes. Jungkook, Felix, Hyunjin and Han looked up from the board game they were playing. All of them stunned to see her so upset, she had been fine earlier that morning. "I'm going to sleep." Was all she said, she hurriedly walked past Taehyung and Namjoon who had just headed towards the living room. Jin had just come out of the upstairs bathroom, a towel hanging over his shoulder when he spotted Jae coming up the stairs. "Jae-" He was abruptly cut off when she opened her bedroom, walked in and slammed it shut, locking the door behind her. Concerned, he headed towards the room and went to knock on the door when he froze, his ears twitched as he heard sniffles and muffled crying. Hoseok sighed from the doorway, shaking his head as the group looked at him. "Why is she so upset? What happened?" Yoongi asked, Jungkook looked to Hoseok who took his shoes off. "We ran into someone from her past.. They both were shocked to see each other, it was strange. I sensed a ton of heartache and anger from Jae and when Jackson and Jin-young appeared to pick up their order, Jackson nearly killed the young man that Jae knew. He attacked him." Hoseok explained, "Did you catch the guy's name?" Felix asked, Jin came downstairs walking into the living room where everyone was gathered at the time. "... His name was Bangchan." Hyunjin dropped his game piece, his mouth hanging open as Han stared in shock. "What?" Felix asked, "His name was Bangchan... At least that's what Jae called him." Hoseok explained, "Why? What's the matter?" He frowned in confusion, Felix stood his feet and marched over to the chair where his jacket hung. The boys could hear Jae's cries from upstairs, smelling and feeling her pain and anger in the bond.

"Hyung," Jungkook mumbled, looking worried.

"That bastard came back! Are you serious?! I thought I told him to stay away from her. Oh, I'm gonna murder his ass." Felix raged, leaving the boys stunned. Han and Hyunjin looked at each other for a moment, trying to process the news and when Felix headed for the door, they both panicked. "Felix, no!" Han rushed over to Felix, grabbing him by the back of his shirt. "Let me go, hyung. I need to teach this asshole a lesson!"

"I can't let you do that. You nearly beat his ass last time he appeared." Han shook his head.

"Yeah, well he fucking deserved it!"

"Hyung, you put him in the hospital! The police didn't do anything because he didn't press changes but this time he might!" Hyunjin tried to reason with Felix but it wasn't working.

"Can someone explain who this guy is and why Felix wants to go kill him? And why Jackson wanted to kill him? Why is Jae so upset?" Jin spoke up, silencing the three brothers. Felix looked over at Jin, sighing heavy. "Bangchan was Jae's high school sweetheart. Her first love... They dated until their junior year when he broke her heart." Han started, "What do you mean? How did he break her heart?" Taehyung frowned, tilting his head. "... Bangchan or Chris... He was moving to the U.S. soon and Jae was so heartbroken by it. They went to one of those wild high school parties together and he got drunk. They got separated so she went looking for him." Han explained, crossing his arms. Thinking back to the time made him angry, he hadn't seen Jae so heartbroken before and it made him angry someone hurt his cousin like that.

"Only for her to find him in a bed, making out with another girl. He cheated on her with that same girl seven months later and then left for the U.S. Jae was so broken that she didn't eat much or get out bed, she hardly spoke or laughed. We couldn't get her out of bed for weeks until her Mom dragged her out bed. Even then, we couldn't get her to talk or eat or do anything. She cried and cried herself to sleep for days, sometimes all she did was spend the day sleeping." Hyunjin finished, hearing this was hard for all of boys. They could hear her crying upstairs now, it made them upset that she was in so much pain. Hoseok now understood why Jackson nearly killed the young man and why Jin-young got so angry when they saw Bangchan.

"How do we fix this? How do we help her?" Jungkook asked, he couldn't help but look upstairs in concern. Yoongi ran his fingers through his hair, sighing as he felt Jae's pain. He had never felt pain like this emotionally before, the anguish coming from Jae was hitting all of her mates and it deeply unsettled them all. Namjoon was beyond pissed at the idea of another man being with Jae but was even angrier that he cheated on Jae when she had given him her heart. He wouldn't even dare to do something like that to Jae, she meant too much to him. Taehyung was just as angry as Namjoon, Jin was at a loss for words.

"... To be honest, I don't know.. They haven't seen each other in years and now he suddenly popped up when the last time they saw each other was when they broke up. I don't know how to help her get out of this, the only person who was remotely able to get her back to her being happy was Xiumin hyung. He was the only one who could bring her out of the house and get her smiling again. Now, he's in the U.S." Han sighed, shaking his head. "I'm gonna kill that idiot." Felix struggled, yanking himself out of Han's grip.

"Yah!"

"Hyung, no." Hyunjin rushed in front of Felix, "Move."

"No, I cannot let you go to jail."

"I said move!" Felix snapped causing Hyunjin to flinch. Felix's wrath was much scarier than Han's and Hyunjin always tried his best to keep Felix from ever going off the deep end when he was angry. "He probably already left the cafe. And you wouldn't know where to find him." Han started, "He must live in the neighborhood if he came to her cafe! I'm going to find him and I'm gonna kill him for coming near here." Felix stated, "Yah, how could he know where she lived and that she worked at that specific cafe?! Don't be stupid!" Han snapped, Felix turned around and started arguing with Han which made the others annoyed. Jimin was relieved when he heard Jae's cries die down and instead heard her soft breathing. He headed towards the stairs, slipping away with only Jungkook noticing him. "Yah!!" Han went to grab Felix but was stopped by Hyunjin and Taehyung, "Yah! Will you two shut up?! You'll wake Jae up with all this arguing!" Jin snapped, making the three siblings go quiet. Jimin unlocked Jae's door, slipping inside quietly and closed the door behind him. He sighed softly when he saw her curled up in bed, tear stains on her cheeks. He climbed into bed, pulling her close to him and fell asleep.
