3rd person's pov
Eun-Jae woke up to the sound of incessant beeping, which was really starting to annoy her. She shifted in bed, feeling something connected to her arm which made her wonder what it was. She let out a soft groan, slowly opening her eyes and immediately shut them as she was met with a harsh white light. She reached up and rubbed her eyes, before opening them again and found herself staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. Jae looked down at the sheets, noticing that they weren't hers and she was not wearing her own clothes, she also took notice that an IV was attached to her forearm. "What the hell? Where am I?" She thought. The sound of the incessant beeping snapped her out of her daze, making her look around the room to see where it was coming from. To her left, she spotted the heart monitor and machine that was all connected to her through the leads on her chest. "What the hell happened for me to end up in here?" She quirked an eyebrow, looking around in confusion. "Oh my god, you're awake!" Eun-Jae heard a soft voice speak, making her jump. She looked to her right where she spotted Xiumin sitting in a chair next to the bed, his eyes looked slightly puffed and his hair was sticking up all over the place. He had slept in the room with her overnight, sending everyone back home. He didn't want everyone to crowd the room, it was hard for him to get the seven boys to leave. It was only then that three brothers found out just how much Eun-Jae meant to them. They do arrange for them all to come visit the next morning, so it would be easier on Jae. "Oppa, where am I?" She asked groggily, rubbing her eyes. "You don't remember?" He asked, sitting forward and took her hands in his. He stood up and sat down next to her on the bed, "No.. All I can remember is going with Jackson to drop off an order at the bookstore." Xiumin's facial expression changed, his body language indicating that something was wrong. "Oppa.. What's the matter? Where are we?" She asked, noticing the change in attitude in her older brother. "Why am I hooked up to all these machines?" Xiumin sat there for a moment, looking like he needed to find the words to say.
"You and Jackson were in a small car accident, you are at Inha University Hospital. Jackson is fine, but you on the other hand, had a panic attack in the car. The doctor believed that you might have hit your head when the car stopped, you passed out in the car. So they are holding you for observation." He explained, Eun-Jae's heart rate jumped up as she felt her heart pound faster in her chest.
"A-Acc-Accident." Eun-Jae could feel her chest tighten, it becoming harder for her to breathe. "Jae," Xiumin started, "Hey, it's okay. Everything's okay. Jae, just breathe." Eun-Jae could feel myself panicking more, as she saw flashes of the accident with her parents flood her brain. Tears blurred her vision as she heard the heart monitor connected to her start beeping faster. Xiumin continued trying to calm her down but none of it was working, which made him even more concerned. He knew that he needed to keep himself calm, in order to prevent her from escalating any further and possibly passing out. Xiumin immediately wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly. She resisted of course, trying to push him away but he wasn't going to let go.
As this was happening, all seven of the boys', including Chen and Kyungsoo had arrived at the hospital to see Eun-Jae. Jungkook was extremely anxious just as Jimin was, but Jin was able to keep the two of them from acting so anxious when they did get to see her. "You two could possibly make her anxiety worse if she sees the two of you so worked up like this. For her sake and yours, please, please calm down." Jin placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, placing his free hand on Jimin's shoulder. The two nodded, Jungkook silently sniffling as he held his ears.
"She'll be alright, Kookie. Eun-Jae is strong and resilient. She will bounce back from this." Namjoon spoke, "I know.. But.. Why didn't she tell us about her panic attacks?" Jungkook looked up at Yoongi and Jin, the two oldest looking at a loss for words. "She wasn't comfortable with anyone knowing about them." Chen shook his head, looking back at the boys. "She... She was so afraid of what others would think of her. And she probably forgot about them, thinking that they wouldn't come back." He explained, "I know you're all worried about her, but she'll be fine. Jae is very strong. Now perk up and smile, she'll need it." Chen stated, giving them a small smile. Jin could see that he was hiding behind that smile, he could see the fear and pain in Chen's eyes but he wasn't going to bring it up in front of everyone. He needed to wait until the right time to do that, and now, now was not the right time. Everyone looked to another, nodding at Chen's words and placed a smile on their faces.
The door opened revealing Chen, Kyungsoo and the seven boys behind him. Their smiles were wiped off their faces the minute they saw Eun-Jae's frantic state, as well as seeing Xiumin hugging her so tightly. "Hyung, what happened? Why is she having a panic attack?" Chen rushed inside the room, "I told her that she's at the hospital but I don't know what triggered it." Xiumin shook his head, looking at Jae who was only getting worse. Kyungsoo stepped forward, pushing Chen aside as he reached for the oxygen mask on the wall behind her. He placed the mask to her nose and mouth, demonstrating how he wanted her to breathe slowly. Through her blurry vision, she could make out the outline of her older brother who was calmly breathing with her. After a few slow deep breaths, Jae's heart began to slow down and her breathing was become much calmer. "It's alright. You are okay, Jae. Jackson is okay. You are okay. Just breathe, sis. Breathe. We've got you." Kyungsoo slowly sat down beside her, as the tears finally ran down her cheeks. All seven of the boys were astonished to see this behavior in Jae, they had never seen her so panicked or so upset. Eun-Jae let out a sob, shaking slightly as Kyungsoo and Chen both wrapped their arms around her. Jin wrapped an arm around Jungkook, who lightly sniffled and buried his face in his hands. Seeing her like that scared the shit out of all seven of them, but this only made them think of one thing. And that was to help Eun-Jae get through her past trauma and get through the panic attacks. Chen looked back at the seven boys, nodding to Jin to take them out into the hallway so the four siblings could have a moment together alone.
"Come on," Jin whispered to Jungkook, "Let's give them time." He tapped Namjoon on the shoulder, leading the boys out of the room and ushered them into the hallway. Yoongi let out a deep sigh, running his hands through Jimin's hair as Jimin hugged him tightly. They all felt stressed by the recent events, which was bringing down the mood. Hoseok sensing this decided he needed to step up in order to cheer everyone up, so that's what he was going to do. Namjoon knew that he needed more ways to help Jae, so his first mission was to learn everything he could about anxiety and panic attacks. "She'll be okay. We'll help her get through this." Taehyung said, everyone's heads snapped up to look at him.
His stripey tail flicked back and forth, his ears twitching as he heard every sound in the hallways of the floor they were on. He looked up at the six of them, determination clear as day in his eyes. "I will stay strong for her, and that means, I won't cry." Jin felt somewhat amazed seeing the determination the tiger hybrid had to help Jae, he gave him a soft smile and nodded as he held Jungkook who was still rather upset.
